Fix M+ in 500 words

Tanks and healers are always first on the plane.

So, what does being outnumbered by DPS have to do with anything?

There is no guarantee that you’re on a first-class flight using an LFG plane.

You will, however, reach your destination much quicker if you take a SoloQ flight.

So instead of having 50 airplanes with 30 missing tanks.
We will have 20 airplanes with tanks and healers and with 90 dps waiting at the gate for new airplanes with tanks and healers to arrive.
You can change the scenery all you want but the same problem remains.

Oh nothing. its just pretty much the MAIN reason why DPS have longer queues.

I am sorry but how hard it is to understand?
You have 10 airplanes packed with dps waiting for healers/tanks and only 3 tank/healer comps arrive so. 3 airplanes will leave and the 7 airplanes will continue to wait till new tanks or healers arrive.

I will repeat once more…again slowly so you can understand. Your soloQ aka “airplanes” assumes the scenario that for every airplane packed with dps there are tanks and healers available for it.
ITS
NOT
THE
CASE.

Its been said multiple times already on this thread. So i am not sure if you are just trolling or outright ignoring it.
For every tank/healer there is around 15-20 DPS who wants to come with them so we got cheery-picking, gateekping and etc because the tank/healer can only take 3 with them. And the remaining 12-17 needs to wait for it.

How it will be faster?
If you got 3 tanks/healers and 10 planes waiting. Only 3 will airplanes will leave, the remaining 7 will keep waiting till new tanks and healers arrive.
Tanks/healers CANT sit in multiple airplanes at the same time. And your soloQ WONT birth new tanks and healers out of thin air either.

I know a good fix for M+

Remove timer but… before you start M+ you will bet against the dungeon master, if you die too often you will receive a fine that multiplies depending on the amount of deaths shared by every party member.

Mythic 1: 100g
Mythic 2: 250g
Mythic 3: 500g
Mythic 4: 750g
Mythic 5: 1000g
Mythic 6: 2500
Mythic 7: 5000
Mythic 8: 7000
Mythic 9: 9000
Mythic 10: 10000

So let’s say you had 20 deaths in Mythic 10:
20 x 10000 gold = 200k gold split by 5.

Everyone pays 40k and if they’re unable to pay, they’re not allowed to do M+ anymore until they pay off their fine.

I think this will be a brilliant addition to World of Warcraft.

What does DPS outnumbering tanks and healers have to do with this question?

For your “promise” that SoloQ will give “faster queues”. You need tanks and healers to actually signup for said system. Without them. The estimated wait time for your “faster queue soloQ” will be 6h…if not even more.

And tanks and healers are so far in a lot more “privileged” position than your DPS and them using your soloQ is a netloss.
So if you want to argument that SoloQ will be faster, you need to give convincing arguments why tanks and healers will choose it over manual grouping which gives them huge benefits atm.
So far…you havent mentioned a single argument why a tank or healer would choose your system over manual grouping.

And why are tanks and healers in a “privileged” spot? Because they are in deficit so DPS keyholders are fighting over them.

Back to airplanes. DPS have to board whatever airplane they actually managed to get a “seat”, tank and healers can be picky princesses and choose which airplane offers them more.

To keep the analogy going:

In any A-to-B service, not just in the airline industry, time is a premium, and how much leg room you have on the plane is a perk.

The plane isn’t what’s considered first class; the DPS is. DPS provides the leg room.

The leg room is how comfortable the dungeon run is going to be. How much min-maxing might you be asked to do?

You can have first-class DPS, wipe once, and they will leave the dungeon.

Every player who takes part in Mythic Plus, including tanks and healers, has the same goal: to get from point A to point B as quickly as possible (to start the dungeon as quickly as possible and to finish it as quickly as possible).

Rated PvP

The privilege of picking your teammates is far more impactful in PvP than it is in PvE.

And yet all PvP players were advocating for SoloQ for years.

In comes Solo Shuffle.

I just googled this: Why it’s so popular?

Popularity Factors (It being the most popular PvP gametype)

  • Solo Queue Convenience: No need to find teammates or coordinate schedules. Just queue and play.
  • Fast Matches: Six quick rounds with rotating teammates keep the pace high and the downtime low.
  • Rating System: You earn personal rating and seasonal rewards, making it competitive and rewarding.
  • Streamer & Community Hype: Many PvP-focused creators and top players showcase Solo Shuffle, boosting visibility and engagement.

You know he is just trolling you all now, he has been an expert at it for years.

Again you are missing the point entirely.
Tanks/healers have the CHOICE to decide which airplane they can take so they can picky.
Now, can they choose the “wrong one”? Can the said airplane “not live up to its standards”? Ofc it can, but any tank/healer can try to minimize by vetting the groups.

DPS on the other hand can’t “choose” which group they can join…unless you are 3.7k rio signing up for a +10 or something…but people are also warry of big rio guys signing up for low keys cause they can also just ragequit if the tank is not pulling like in the MDIs so they got nothing to lose.

Me applying as tank:
Ok, lets see. Hmm this group has too much mele. Will pass.
Hhmm…this group has good comp, but healer rio’s is not very great. Nah…will pass.
Ok…this group has good comp, good healer, I think I will signup…WAAAIT…another group with even better rio just posted, gonna go with them.
Insta invited

Me applying as solo DPS.
Ok, I need dungeon X for score. Lets apply to the first 5 dungeons where I have an actual chance to get in.
5 mins later
Ok, lets see what are the results: Ok, 3 declines, 2 “full and delisted”.
Ok, lets try again. Applies to 5 more groups.
10 mins later (edit: 10 mins is even considered short for solo DPS standards. Some get to wait 15-30 mins if not more).
Hey look! An invite popped!..ok group comp is…questionable but guess its that or back to the signup queue.

Now. If you fail to see the difference in these 2 scenarios…then. We really don’t have anything else to discuss and you are plain out trolling at this point.

I know. But got nothing better to do so might as well see if I can make him cough up some real arguments.
Besides, he hasn’t used the Zenoutlaw approach: “I am right and u are stuped if you disagree” so I suppose I should give credit where its due.

We have an archetype, which you fail to address.

Those differences that you’re so concerned about are even more pronounced in PvP.

And yet, Solo Shuffle is the most popular PvP gametype, riddle me that?

PvP is different can of worms.
Also, the PvP forums is full of people complaining that their soloQs have wait times up to hours because healers refuse to play it.

And yet, it’s the most popular gametype.

Is this really the path you want to argue?
Whats next? Cars should fly because airplanes are popular?
WoW should just ditch its fantasy settings and go full Counter strike because counter strike is popular?

Alaric was right after all.
“Americans will measure with anything but the metric system”.
“Canabal will prove SoloQ is more “popular” with anything but with logical arguments”.

45 min wait times and people dropping off from PVP is hardly a win is it now.

I think its fine as it is right now. +10s are like a +7 or +8 in S1. Even 3k rating has drastically being reduced in s1 a 3k rating is like having 3.5k this season

Solo Shuffle is the most popular PvP gametype.

Please, don’t take my word for it; Google it.

Arenas was its predecessor, so yeah, it is a win.

PvP

I repeat

PVP

PvP =/= PvE

Using the argument “works in PvP so it should work in PvE” is the same as trying to argue if this drug X can cure the common cold then it can cure cancer as well.

Path of least resistance.

Be it PvP or PvE, it’s the same; players will always take it.

And players will also take free gear offered in the mailbox instead of grinding for it.
So why just stop at soloQ. Just give everything for free for the win? “Path of pretty much none existing resistance” for the win bruh?

Finally, so you agree that SoloQ is the path of least resistance?
