This happened to me, too. Got me worried my actual mouse was getting squirrelly.

I should have thought of it as being caused by the update. Doh!

I didn’t have any mouse issues but some bound spells wouldn’t always work properly after this patch.

For example, I’ve been leveling a Horde Hunter and hitting rapid fire would sometimes start the animation but stop it right away so I’d have to press the ability a second time for it to actually work.

Sounds like packet loss, I’d check your network if I were you.

If it was packet loss, don’t you think it would affect more than one spell?

I have had a similar thing with Comet Storm all expansion, and only Comet Storm.

No idea, I have no experience with just one ability bugging out.

Bunch of ungrainful people here.

Blizzard is small indie firm doing their best leave them alone.

Excuse you I have lots of grain.

I had occasional mouse freeze yesterday. Not enough to really interrupt gameplay but definitely noticeable. I’ve just updated W10 to 2004 and updated my graphics drivers so was wondering if they were to blame, but now I see other people having the issue.

My guess is that the mouse bug is related to interface and desktop windows fighting over the cursor.

In addition to the cursor getting stuck in game it’s also frequently preventing movement in other windows when the game is alt-tabbed.

I haven’t had the camera issue people were talking about. But the mouse cursor getting stuck has been happening to me aswell since the patch. I tried to make a ticket but for some reason the ticket submition is broken aswell… That is something that needs fixing immediately.

Here’s my ticket where I try to explain it, since i can’t submit it anyway:

Blockquote
Sometimes when I click inside the game window (with both right- or leftclick), my cursor just gets stuck randomly and it takes a little bit until I can move it away from that location again. This problem only happens inside World of Warcraft. I already tried disabling all Add-Ons and it didn’t help. Videos of this problem can be found here: <Can’t include links> or here:
Both happened when I clicked inside the game window. The first video show a very extreme case of the problem where I couldn’t move it for a few seconds.
This problem only showed up to this extreme extent since this reset. I’ve noticed it a little bit before, but never to a point where I could actually notice it as it happened. I really hope you can help figuring out what’s the cause of this, as it really impacts negatively on the gameplay, especially in Raids.
So I noticed, when I click my mouse button very shortly while I move my cursor in a direction, sometimes that direction will become “locked” or something and my cursor doesn’t want to move from the spot anymore if I move it in that direction which is “locked”. If I move it in another direction I can move it freely again. For example; I slowly move my cursor to the left, click the left mouse button very shortly and still continue to move the cursor in the same direction. So the camera moving get’s activated, but barely rotates, and as I try to continue moving the cursor in the same direction it get’s “sucked” back to the spot where I clicked until I move it in a different direction. I hope this explanation helps to replicate the problem.

Hope this helps…

Can I ask what mouse you have?

I had the exact same problem recently (pre new patch) when using my Roccat Nyth mouse, however when I use a different mouse I don’t have the problem at all.

On topic, since the update I’ve not had mouse freezing, I’ve had mouse jumping from position to a small distance away without moving the mouse.

I have a Razer Naga Trinity. Not sure if it’s mouse specific…

I’ve just replaced my mouse with the same mouse you have and I don’t have the same issues.

Very odd

If I could post links I could show you a video of when it happens to a very annoying extent… But as it stands I can only provide the explanation above.

You’ve described exactly what was happening to me on my Roccat but not on my Razer.

You can also post links. In the reply box if you press the </> button you and then paste in the link where the cursor is, it works

Well here is the video then. Thanks for the hint. I clicked on the object and then tried to move my cursor away from it… And as you can see it got stuck…

This rubberband cursor is driving me crazy. I thought my mouse was broken.
