Flame caps

So youre changing flame caps based on what? You know youre screwing with the economy for no reason and peoples investments, its not even that big of a deal dps wise and u somehow just shredded alot of peoples main source of incoming in a game full of bots making almost all the farms not viable so instead you decided to ruin real players pockets instead of taking care of the big problem that is bots.

You’re so out of touch with your playerbase its unreal.

I’ve checked the blueposts and wowhead, cannot seem to find what you’re referring to. Can you provide link to the change you’re quoting in your post?

they changed it on the ptr realm i tested it like 30minutes ago. Blizzard just take their chances at ruining legitimate players gold.

what change? :open_mouth:

flame caps now put potion cooldown to a 3minute cd, making flame caps worthless.

Many people believed they could become ingame millionaires by buying a bunch in tbc for 50s-3g and then dump it for ulduar release.

These people are now mad they are poor because they did not sell when they were up to 70g for over a month now.

The people who actually stockpiled for a dps increase are also mad, sucks for them but it wont have an impact on parses as no one will use it as your class/spec.

Yeah, i also stockpiled during tbc:P didnt cost much but the profit would be HUGE.

I cant find a official blue post about this though, only rumours on a mage channel.
There are also doubts in the mage community wether this is real, since the OG poster is apparantly know for spreading fake news.

It is real. People tested it on the ptr around 40 minutes ago.

Ah, what a shame. Ah well, just checked the AH and atleast ill get the gold i spent back.

Allthough it sucks for me personally, older items shouldnt be relevant in “new” expansions.

Yes kind of random after that “fake” screenshot. It either attracted the real devs or simply was not fake in the end. Anyhow, flame caps are a dead market now.

It helps to input the change/bug in more detail as the people below did.

However, yeah that sucks. I had a few left over for some parses but no real investment.

It could possibly be a bug - as there’s no info on this? But then again knowing Blizzard…

My biggest issue is that they are not more cautious with the economy in mind and completely nerf something in a game full of bots where almost all farms are not worth the time investment anymore.

Why didnt they just make it like lotus and make it spawn in more zones or have a higher node respawn than this.

Instead they ruin peoples pockets and do absolutely nothing about bots making all our farms absolutely horrendous.

You know on one hand it’s a shame that they don’t do anything to bots (though considering crafters do love their cheap source of mats it seems I doubt many people care). On the other I do find it hilarious when it comes to stuff that wouldn’t exist without our prior knowledge of the game’s development.

On the bright side though I believe it’s a bit too early to go into panic mode. Does everything that happens on PTR is guaranteed to make it to the main patch without any changes?

I sense the salt of someone who bought 5000+ Flamecaps in TBC and is now malding.

They basically changed it to prevent degenerate behavior among people who minmax. Thats kinda it.

And this is why them remaining in the game leads a lot of people to buy gold, which nerfing them is an easy way to remove.

I think the majority of affected classes consider this a positive change.

Glad i sold mine a long time ago.

Very good change for once.

What a terrible retail take.
If people want to minmax let them minmax. The only degenerates are the people who don’t minmax and complain about minmaxers.

why arent people allowed to minmax? Let them push their char to the limit, let them see whats possible.

I dont minmax, nor do i see the point of doing it. I also aint affected in any way by those who do, i can find groups for raids without any major issues.

Just because i dont partake in it, doesnt mean i dont want others to do what they want.

The dev team has really, really ,really weird priorities on what to nerf, buff, or fix. With countless of mechanics broken you expect them to make that a priority before trying to get a $hitty herb that does 40 dps here and there, but nope.

You still have to aply a new haste stone on your weapon before every arena game as warlock :face_with_symbols_over_mouth::face_with_symbols_over_mouth::face_with_symbols_over_mouth::face_with_symbols_over_mouth::face_with_symbols_over_mouth::face_with_symbols_over_mouth::face_with_symbols_over_mouth::face_with_symbols_over_mouth::face_with_symbols_over_mouth::face_with_symbols_over_mouth:
ITS WASNT LIKE THIS BACK THEN!!!

People want minmax, not wasting gold for almost nothing.
