In classic wow i could go to a flightpoint, take the ride, log off, and when i log in after a while i had arrived at my destination. This worked even in BC i think. Does anyone know why they havent implemented this and why they removed it?
When was this added?
I never recalled being able to do this.
It’d just log you back in to where you originally was.
I am pretty sure it was like that back when the game first released and up til BC or something. I remember i could take a flight log off do something else and log in and voila i have arrived…
never been like that on EU or 2004 US
You would arrive at next flight point actually. They decided to not implement that behaviour because they are lazy to reproduce every single bit of game, they really care about main gameplay, not auxiliary systems.
This never happened.
This was in pandaland added
I never remember this happening, ever and I’ve played since mid 2005.
Cant remember ever being able to fly offline to destination but i do remember guildie in vanilla saying hes logging off to fly to his destination, i remember wondering what hes talking about. So while i personally never could i guess some could for whatever reason, maybe internet connection thing back then for some?
Also can’t remember this every happening. What I do remember, is trying and it not working.
If you logged off, you were the same place, but the gryphon/wind rider stopped at the next available FP. This is why they implemented the “request stop” button.
