Calia Menethil is probably the only chance for a decent leader of the forsaken. Many dislike her, but why? She showed that she cares about these ugly creatures and even sacrificed her own life by trying to protect them from the evil Sylvanas. Sylvanas already showed in Edge of Night that she don’t cared about the forsaken at all and in BtS she only cared about her own interests, not about the interests of the forsaken. I would say welcome the new leader of the Forsaken and wish that she doesn’t get the Sylvanas treatment.
I’m not exactly sure, but I think it was said in Before the Storm that she wanted to go to Undercity and be there for her people, but she couldn’t because she’s now the Warchief of the Horde.
I wouldn’t say she doesn’t care for the Forsaken…
Why does every single person think that forsaken players need “decency”? If they wanted peace and honor they would’ve rolled Alliance.
Calia is a lore breaking abomination. The blue happy dumbass tree huggers can have her.
It seems you didn’t read the masterwork of Christie Golden She wanted for some reason, yes, but she didn’t cared about their interests.
And why exactly is she a lore breaking abomination?
Cause light and undead don’t make a good combo. If you don’t know this by now go replay wc3 and you’ll see how the light affects undead creatures.
Plus the last thing the forsaken need is an Alliance friendly character that is being manipulated by a holy naaru.
It still affects undead, but now it seems to have a way to avoid it and become something superior.
Calia isn’t really “alliance friendly” she neutral and was the student of a forsaken priest before she was befriended with Anduin. And everyone who follows a source like void or light is kinds manipulated, but it seems that Sylvanas doesn’t have problems to use an Old God dagger and support his release.
Light and Undead shouldn’t go in together ever. Also Golden is mental. What she writes are her personal, crazy self spinnen fanfictions of how she wants stuff to be. See how she had to fight Blizzard to get Calia back the way she did. She doesn’t care about established lore, she wants just her personal fantasy plasted on a race and their leader. Same thing with Baine and the Tauren. No Forsaken fan with dignity should support this Calia crap.
She totally is Alliance. Through and through, planting an Anduin puppet as new Forsaken head of state is the only purpose she will serve. Just like with Baine “Taurajo was a legitemate military target honor!”. We don’t need to become a red Alliance just to please the fanclub of a certain human king.
Who said it?
Yeah, so it’s canon. Good that we have clarified that.
What do you have to lose if she already took over Sylvanas?
Dignity? So they want to be treated like ?
But Anduin did nuffin with her
It’s too late already because Golden writes for Blizz now so I don’t see why you complain about a better leader
She should just leave the forsaken alone, said this in a different tread but if she really need some undead group to protect and lead blizzard could of used the Scarlet Risen who if you think about it would of also been from lordaeron.
They are also undead what use the light.
And she should this because?
You have really low standards if you just take Calia just because she has so many alliance friends and isn’t Sylvanas.
Being a useful tool is still better than rulet by a blue puppet government/Queen.
The Scarlet Risen would be simply a better fit.
The Risen have continued to follow the light as zealously as they did in life. When you put the to groups together and attempt to picture a lightforge type of undead leading one of these groups, the Risen simply stand out better then the Forsaken.
There is a compelling storyline what could be used with the Risen as well, I mean think about it for a moment with the Risen we are told -
“In a true twist of irony, the Scarlet Crusade, formerly fierce haters of all undead and demonic entities, had themselves become undead slaves of the Legion.”
Now free of a dreadlords control this group has no purpose they are the very thing they hate with foes on all sides, there is no place for them in this world their only hope is someone like Calia.
Calia gives the Risen a new purpose in the world, a broken discarded group working towards hope and a new purpose in the world in the end they are also Calias people.
And if your thinking but the Risen were defeated, noting like this has stopped blizzard before it also isn’t to hard to believe that you must have other scarlet undead walking around given events from legion.
But as a + it leaves the forsaken alone, removing any risk of doing something dumb to the faction I mean the forsaken faction and its intently has already been hit hard this expansion. Lets not add gas to the fire.
As for myself I am a scarlet fan the thought of undead scarlets isn’t something I like but at this stage I don’t see any hope for living crusade making a real comeback so what can you do.
Who cares about stupid scarlets, they’re a walking fail anyway. Forsaken are a faction of the horde and there you could reach something
The thing is that the more “evil” the Forsaken get the less reasons there are for any faction, whether Alliance, Horde or even neutral have for letting you live independently story-wise. It breaks the world when you have the same o’l people doing some shifty-evil stuff only to be put in place for it to happen in another couple of years.
That is a problem with having a war mongering race, they either need to win, get wiped out or put into a position where they have barely anything left. The Forsaken need to be restrained by someone or something whether by their own faction or not. And not have factions and people such as the AC be at their mercy.
Forsaken got their victory in Cataclysm, lets repeat it now. I am all in for it.
No offence but I think you’re fighting a losing battle here.
Personally, I miss the crusade, too, and I think it is a pity they became eradicated/ a bad joke. In a way, they presented the ( human ) alliance as it was supposed to be, a worthy opponent who showed no mercy towards their enemies.
Stormwind dissociated itself from them publicly, but still allowed them to do the dirty work for them. Now? We have Anduin who threatens to hug us all to death…
gently hugs There, there child. Lean on my non-toxic masculinity. This is the Alliance now!
Sylvanas you can’t wipe out 3-4 zones, keep using the plague and purposely targeting the innocents/refugees of war to bolster your army all the while ignoring all complaints from your own factions as well as neutral factions
Sylvanas : “Reality is often disappointing, that is it was, now, reality can be whatever I want.” uses infinite stone.
I think you need a hug too, Garrosh.
Need muh March of the Exarchs expansion already xd.
