[ liked the azerite for the neck grind i did it on 34 alts and my main was at lvl 198 when it finished, as for shadowlands the grinding is pointless the expansion is very poor as its mostly a cash grab so the quicker blizzard pull the plug and roll out the next expac which is in the wings and ready to go is ok with me, i just hope its a lot more like the wow we used to get from blizzard

Korthia codex rep is equally bad since its timegated beyond believe.

Torghast im done since Mythic Week 1.

Renown = couldnt care any less. Also catch up is done in a day if i would give a poop.

It was a grind. It became something one could effectively ignore further down the xpac (as is custom procedure with Blizzard)

It didn’t ,we were getting more than enough from dungeons ,raids ,pvp aka playing whatever you like.

yea, I guess It’s my fault I decided to min-max in 9.1, problem is before you could min-max by simply playing the game - occasioanal rare, emisaries, raids, dungeons etc, while now you are basically running scripted path. All problems would have been solved if rep, codex, soulash etc dropped from all content like pvp, raids, dungeons and open world.

Yes it did. Its something Blizzard has been doing since a while now.

That wasn’t until the end of expansion though.

You’re saying this at a time when I just got done being in an awesome Korthia shard that was pretty much all pvp all the time - with the Horde and Alliance putting up a fight. It was so much fun.

If people are playing the game for currency per minute rewards, warmode doesn’t make sense. But if people want to have fun, to have a challenge, to have to pay attention in the world - warmode is the way. With warmode, you don’t play for the reward. You play for the fun of play.

that’s like going from a 1/10 to 2/10, maybe a 3/10. It’s still feces, just to a lesser degree.

i think this is a great quote. i am one to farm these things because i enjoy chasing the power stuff, but equally you need to at some point take a step back and stop yourself if what you’re doing is making you hate the game.

maybe do it more casually and slower, or maybe don’t bother at all if that’s what you feel is right for you. if it’s expected of you in your guild, perhaps consider a guild that suits you better. there’s nothing wrong with having a minmax attitude as a guild, but it’s not for everyone. you can still clear mythic with a more casual approach outside of the raids in regards to korthia and stuff.

I never said it isnt, there is tons of stuff i try myself force to do, because i want my char to be perfect, even tho it wont happe. I still find my joy in game, its just there shouldnt be “boring” content that increase your power in whatever way in completly different content

It was if you decided to be .
That was beauty of AP ,as you could choose : am i happy with passive gains only, or should i grind for bit extra ?

rep grind is basically useless unless you care about getting minor (like 20+ dps) from sockets, torghast isnt that much of a grind, its literally like 2 20 minute runs each week, and renown is the same, its like 10 minutes doing some quests at the start of the week and nothing to cared about the rest of it

unless you have forgotten the AP grind was constant each and every day, always having to do world quests and other such content in order to get the power you needed to level up your weapon/neck, so yeah that was worse.

who said that it’s any better?
I never grinded AP, the only thing I’ve been forced to grind on my main is torghast, and I dread we’ll have to collect soul currency again in the next patch for rank 8.

Why do i have to choose one of them? Both are pure garbage and shouldn’t have existed

while this is technically true if you actually wanted to be in anyway shape or form efficient with it then there was specific content that you needed to do, for example, you could run dungeons for the like 100 ap you would get for each run or something, or you could get literally 10X more by doing islands in the same amount of time.

no one is trying to outright say that a rep grind is good btw, its not even that neccesary, the bonuses you get for finishing the archivists codex are barely going to make a difference.

As i said that was the case further down the xpac line. In the end it did idd not matter. Not like that during release because to everything it was tied to. Which sparked the riot against it because it was just as bad as Legions Artifact system outside of the Legionfall trait.

Me: “I don’t want to farm AP.”

Blizzard: “So you want to farm reps, torghast and renown?”

Me: “No. Just give me simple systems with fun entertaining content. Don’t overcomplicate things.”

Blizzard: “LOL”

Well, there were people saying they had nothing to do. And that they wanted to work for whatever small improvements and pets, transmog, mounts. And sockets are quite small improvements. But these people literally were asking for more grinds. So to who should Blizzard listen?

I get a performance boost of 1.5% for my all my sockets (aka 5 for me the moment i get the last one) in total. Thats equal or superior to a gear upgrade.
