Forrest trolls - we want them!

Dear Wow community,

Trolls are one of the most unique races of Warcraft and have an amazing yet tragic lore.

They are also one of the oldest native races or Azeroth, and also are the ancestors of the elves.

One thing I like about the trolls is the different tribes and different kinds like ice, Forrest, sand, jungle, Zandalari

We already have so many kinds available with customization, how about we finally get those Forrest trolls for Zul’jin’s sake.

Lore reason

The Revantusk tribe have been the only Forrest troll tribe allied with the Horde since burning crusade, even working side by side with blood elves who they attacked in the past.

The Revantusk appeared again in BFA, Zandalar being one of the few trolls to admire the horde.

How can they be added?

Simply add a emerald green skin color + a Forrest troll body, similar to ones we see in Zandalar specifically for the males. It will be a second body option, similar to what Orcs have.

The females are same as Darkspear, so no extra body needed,

Why is this important?

First of all forrest trolls along with Ogres, have been the most requested thing for the Horde since…forever.

It will open up amazing Roleplay options. High elf skin tones was added to void elves so they can Roleplay high elves on alliance which helped RP greatly on the Alliance side

Wildhammer tattoos and hairstyles was added to the bronzebeard dwarves also to help RP.

So this can help troll Rp and help revive it as currently troll RP is a bit on the low side after shadowlands. Plus if the bigger (forrest troll) male bodies is added, then we can also use this customization to roleplay ice trolls by choosing big body paired with blue skin the darkspear already have. overall, its positive for troll RP

plus, we can finally use the Amani warbear mount for roleplay :wink:

Nah mon, I be needin’ muscle mommy as well.

Female trolls have been having the same slim model since vanilla, only in bfa did we get some female dire trolls.
It always struck me as odd how males have so much variety but the females don’t.

Even zandalari females are just a taller model of the darkspear with a slightly different stance.

So I would really like to see a beefier female troll aswell, could even make them slightly hunched over so they dont steal all female orc players.

Macho - Macho trolls would be welcome as a playable option.

Many races could use more macho options or more lean options instead of being the one or the other

Aim high.
That way the request for swole-troll customization for males seems quick and easy.

And we know blizzard likes quick and easy solutions because they can then save it in their “Bucket: pick a note when players are mad”.

Like how high elf players got blood elf skin and eyes for void elves instead of their requested true high elf allied race.

I find it odd Garrosh Hellscream were impressed with races like the Tauren who had significant strength. Only they were allowed to guard Grommash Hold alongside the Orcs.

What I do not understand is why he did not try to ally the Amani Trolls within the Horde for that reason alone.

It would be a customization rather than a allied race. We saw how Blizzard handled the High elves, sand trolls, and wildhammer. so i doubt the revantusk will be a allied race

but in terms of racial mounts, i think there are plenty already that are farmable. Like the Amani Warbear or Amani Dragonhawk. I bet the Revantusk uses them too since they were part of the Amani empire.

in terms of pets if you are playing a hunter, they can use bears, lynxes, green dragonhawks, and snakes.

can we get ogres before forest trolls pls?

ogres are officially in the horde industwallow march. Them being male only shouldnt be any issue. We already got a race locked classes. Might aswell have a genderlocked race like ogres. Especially since we hilariously dont have genders in wow anymore ogres only being body type one shouldnt be any issue right?

ogres are such an iconic horde race or even iconic mercenaries

In lore there are female ogres though.
There just arent any in game because blizzard doesnt wanna make them.

Probably because they dont know how to make them. It is an ogre so they cant really make them pretty or hot, but then who would wanna play them?

Though I guess they could give them one cute face like trolls and orcs and ride the body positivity wave to give them a bigger yet well-shaped body.

That settles it, Blizzard give us thick mommy ogres and muscle mommy trolls now please.

they could just take the easy way imo. We have seen female ogres. We just havent looked up their loincloth

And female ogres dont need to be pretty, we already have female orcs,trolls, kulthirans and more. They could just slap some wig on an ogre and call it female

They could do that.
But I doubt anyone would play them except for memes.

Just taking a look at how some females looked during their alpha stage vs how they looked in their final release it is clear they are not doing ugly/monster females.

why wouldnt people want to play them? we have people playing races like: orcs , gnomes, tauren,worgen,trolls,goblins, kulthirans, male dreanei etcas well. Not everyone wants to play a pretty dress up doll as a char. Some people want to play as a big brutish race for the warrior fantasy

True.
But the female to male ratio on “less attractive” races are much lower than other races.
And there is always one or two “pretty” face as an option which is what is most of the time picked.

Before the character model updates almost every female orc and troll you ran into used the same pretty face. You would almost never come across someone that picked one of the ugly faces.

And races where the females are less feminine or cute are heavily male dominated.
Tauren and dwarf are very rarely female.

So if you add Ogre and the female does not have the option for a better looking face and the model does not appear more female and is practically a male ogre with a bra it is gonna end up as the least played race/gender combo.

To me it does not really matter since I would play male ogre regardless.
I am also not suggesting that female ogres should be just plus-size super models.
I would hate if they just slapped an ogre skin on kultirans, that is not what i want.
But there needs to be a way to tell a male ogre and a female ogre apart and there needs to be a good looking face option like there is for every other race for those that want it.

Well its the same way with pretty races like basicly all elves. When is the last time you have seen male elf players or male dreaneis. Those are a rarity.

So there truly is no real issue with ogres having no pretty face for females. People who want a pretty face will play 50 shades of elf anyway. There is no issue with havin a more more manly warrior race. Just look at dwarves, people want to play the typical bearded small but buff guy.Female dwarves are a rarity

It makes very little sense to have a new playable race that only have one body type or it has two that are nearly identical.

Players generally want more options not less.
As seen with the Dracthyr, when they were revealed and there was only one model for both male and female people complained.
Luckily they had the option to increase or decrease muscle mass of the dracthyr form.
Even if it was not as much as some people wanted it was an improvement.

And people have also been asking for more body types not less.
Humans want slimmer males so it fits caster better instead of body builders in robes.
Or this thread for example where troll players want a beefy forest trolls as an option.

So I vote for more option than less because I believe it is healthier for the game.
