[Forsaken/Undead RP] The Morbid Moot

I’ll keep that in mind and see if I can put my thoughts together well enough to come up with something in the next couple of days

The two opening posts have been edited! One serves to register Speaker signups, the other tracks the names chiseled into the Memorial of Members. We’ll gradually update the latter per moot with the names of attendants.

As a reminder: the Morbid Moot currently still has space for 4-5 Speakers. If you have a subject that you think is interesting for the wider Forsaken community to discuss—say, recent happenings like the discovery of Khaz Algar—don’t hesitate to sign up and speak your bit! Here’s the template:

I will gladly visit the forum and I thank you for this idea, but. I have to say that OOC, as a person I lost some interest in Forsaken roleplay because of you guys. The Rotgarde and your friends, yeah. I don’t want to bring the old drama back, but I find it it amusing how after all these months you finally acknowledged that there are some problems with the Forsaken roleplay scene. And I hope a brighter future awaits us all.

I am happy for your interest and I look forward to seeing you there!

I’ll underline that the schism I refered to was in regards to the political upheaval of the Forsaken nation with the direction the in-game lore has taken them, and not so much in regards to matters domestic to the server OOC. I am sorry to hear that you had a poor experience, but I will state that this project is organized solely by Lakeworth and I as individuals; the Rotgarde has been inactive for over a year now.

Therefore, I hope that your previous experience will not reflect upon your interest in the event, because we truly want to bring the people together more than anything. If you want to talk about it, I would be more than happy if you contacted me in-game if there are concerns still. We, too, hope for a brighter future, atleast we are working toward it

Can’t wait to attend, had some of the best times in Forsaken RP with the Rotgarde bros & it’ll be nice to get together once more with some of the most chill & down to earth people once more.

We are happy to see all of the interest, and some of you are even going to be there! I can feel the excitement still in my putrid, black heart :black_heart:

Remember that if you are wanting to present a subject to the participants as a Speaker, sign up on this forum page through the template Lakeworth provided!

Of course, we will make sure there’s something on the agenda in any case

Hi!

I also wanted to present a speaker, just a question for Ravarin - what’s your topic going to cover?
Just out of curiosity so we don’t end up saying the same thing twice.

I’ll whisper you tomorrow if I see you online.

As promised, here comes the program for the day that will be upon us!

The Morbid Moot
19:00 - 20:00: With great anticipation, the hosts of the Moot will receive the participants while setting the stage for the night. Refreshments will be provided while the throng gathers for the impending Forum. Participants will have their chance to etch their names into the Memorial of Members.
20:00 - 20:15: The banshee Sisters Sepulchral shall invigorate the crowd with a hymn, to honor the inception of the Moot and its new arrivals, and dedicate a dirge to the undying resilience of the Forsaken.
20:15 - 21:30: The Forum ensues, and Speakers are invited to the floor to intrigue the crowd with their points; a night of debate and deliberation is arrived.
21:30 - 21:45: Short break.
21:45 - 22:30: The Forum continues until its end.
22:30: The hosts shall give closing statements to mark the end of the Forum, and a final round of refreshments will be provided to rejuvenate the spent minds of the participants. The Moot comes to a close, and the people are encouraged to stick around Deathknell for casual conversation.

Guys, we are getting very excited for this to kick off! We really hope you will enjoy the night as much as we have enjoyed planning for it.

The hour between 19:00 - 20:00 is strictly reserved for the social aspect before the main event, that being the Forum; you do NOT need to be present at 19:00 on the dot, so don’t stress it!

Right now, we expect that each Speaker we invite to the floor will have 20-30 minutes to present their subjects and engage with the audience while the Forum is open. The overall time slotting/schedule is subject to change depending on how the night goes, and we’ll look closely for any way to optimize the program for the recurring Moots, and we hope you will help by giving your thoughts afterwards - or even now!

Remember… patience; discipline :skull:

A few more days and the night’s upon us. So far, the Speaker list is up-to-date—but it’s not definite! If your Forsaken has something they’d love to bring to the public, feel free to sign up and we’ll include you. There’s still ample time to prepare something for the moot!

The day is upon us, and the hour draws near! While there is still time, heed my direction; it will make (un)life easier for you, this night…

  • We will be hosting the event in the “Old Phase” of Tirisfal Glades, before the events of the Battle for Lordaeron. If you’re unsure how to get there, locate Zidormi on your world map (she is marked by a chat bubble within Tirisfal Glades) and pick the dialogue option: “Can you show me what Tirisfal Glades was like before the Battle for Lordaeron?” If you’re still unsure, feel free to contact Lakeworth or Hangart in-game!

  • Due to the location, there is a bit of NPC chatter that might bloat your chat window. You can disable NPC/Creature messages in your chat box by right-clicking on your General chat tab, choosing Settings and locating Other > Creature Messages. Untick Say and Emote and voila! You can always enable it later. If you’re still unsure how, just message Lakeworth or Hangart in-game.

  • We’ll be in Deathknell and setting up around and within the Shadow Grave (the tomb near the Undead starting area) around 19:00 in-game time. The event itself officially begins at 20:00 in-game time, so don’t be in a rush!

After tonight’s conclusion, we will be very happy if anyone has any suggestions, pointers or praises to offer for the Morbid Moot. It will help us develop the project in the long run!

We truly look forward to seeing everyone that’s arriving for the occasion, and hope you’ll enjoy what we’ve worked on!

Is the bug fixed yet? I die when I go here.

Edit: Nevermind, the cloud doesn’t go as far as Deathknell.

Almost cried blood out of sheer terror for this oversight. Thank you for the edit! See you tonight, I hope!
