It’s morbin time
I never took any damage, but I’ve been using the Silvermoon orb portal. It also transports you to the “old” version of the Tirisfal Glades, unlike the Orgrimmar portal, which is very convenient. The plague mist bug still persists, though.
See you all soon
Lakeworth has added both Myrddin and Undervine to the Speaker sign-ups, and with that the sign-ups are officially closed!
Something is happening in Deathknell. Supplies are moved in, out and around the Shadow Grave at the top of the hill, silhouettes stalk around and survey the area - but most strangely, a monolithic monument hewn in obsidian stands near the gate to the hill. Nearby, a tall, monstrous man bids arrivals welcome, and invite them to join in;
“The Morbid Moot is upon us.”
The Morbid Moot’s very first night has come to a close—with the promise of more to come…
Thank you EVERYONE for your attendance, as well as your patience! We hope you all enjoyed participating in tonight’s affairs, much as we enjoyed hosting it! There’s a few lessons learned from our side, primarily in the way of time management. We hope we can use that experience to make the next time more of a spectacle—but we would also love to hear what YOU think! Please leave your thoughts in this thread or message Lakeworth or Hangart in-game with anything between the earth and sky.
Until next time! Remember… patience; discipline
Thank you for hosting this event and thanks to everyone who attended! We had a lot of undead people there and I can’t wait for what’s to come. Good job!
Thank you for hosting this event! I’ve been dreaming of a big undead-themed event like this for a long time and I hope that more will come.
Thank you to all the hosts and attendees!
It was good to see a Forsaken community that is re-growing itself.
Sadly, I wasn’t able to stay for the entire moot, having to leave at the interval, but I think what was shown had some great choices. Beginning the ceremony with a trio of Banshee singers was bizarre and inspired, and even if the call-and-response nature of the performance could have been trimmed to perhaps half the length (it’s not always proactive on the viewer’s end, which can lead to some ‘clocking out’ mentally), it was very amusing seeing a wide range of reactions from the audience. The Banshee Sisters should definitely return, even if perhaps next time their performance could be cut short for time (maybe an unruly priest banishes them?)
I was only able to see two of the conversation points that were brought forward, and one suggestion I’d put forward (as inspired by the Silver Hand meetings) is to ensure all speakers have their speech pre-written to ensure the golden rule of pace, pace, pace. There’s only so much reaction a crowd can give whilst awaiting a response. Speakers shouldn’t feel rushed, but should always be aware that each slot can only take up so much time, only for the sake of keeping things moving forward.
That’s as far as I can comment as I had to leave during the interval feast, but I had fun bringing out an undead character I haven’t touched since 2011! The Forsaken community has been through a lot and I believe it is coming back out with the opportunity of being stronger than before. There was a wide range of characters sharing their collective grief, angst and anger at the state of their people since Sylvanas’ betrayal, and I am sure many great initiatives like this one will keep Forsaken roleplay going for another twenty years.
Sorry you had to leave early, you missed the most fun part of the moot at the second half. Tadbard Bucket (or something, sorry, can’t remember the name) was hilarious and I really had a good laugh behind the screen. Special thanks to whoever played that character, it was awesome.
Speaking of compliments, Grimdale your Undertaker was a spot on. When I first arrived at the scene I really thought you were one of the NPC’s walking around minding their business. Later in the evening when you said something about missing eyes and asked the lady next to you “Weep for me Eve” made me smile out loud.
For me, this was the first RP event in years and first one ever as a Horde character. My roleplaying skills are a bit rusty and it was a bit difficult to follow the discussion as there was so much chatter and stuff going on but in a good way. I am eager to wait for more to come. Forsaken as a roleplaying race has so much potential and diversity, it’s not just about military ranks or knights in a shiny armor. Nothing wrong with that, I might add.
I will shut up for now and leave some of the excitement for the future events
The first Morbid Moot saw the crypts of Deathknell come to life with song, scheming and deliberation of all things quintessentially Forsaken.
This was great to attend and I look forward to the next - thank you to Hangart and Lakeworth for getting all of these absolute specimens into the same room together.
Hello everyone! Let me say it again; a massive THANK YOU to everyone who participated on the opening night of the Morbid Moot, Forum for the Forsaken! And yet another for our talented NPC-pilots, who made it that much more special!
It’s been a little quiet on our end since, as we have been busy deliberating over how we experienced the event, reflecting on what was good and what was less ideal. As always, we are happy to receive opinions from you guys, but as for ourselves, we’ve come to the following;
The show must go on. We loved organizing it, and seeing the interest as well as the turn-out, it would be treacherous to our nation not to make this a re-occurring event.
We’re scrutinizing the matter of the pre-Forum events (E.g. the Banshee Vocal Trio attendees were entertained by at opening night) and if we can make it stick with how we ideally want the schedule to look like, as from what we could see, the Forum format was certainly the highlight of the night.
We’d love to know if people would prefer we continue to work with creating cultural tidbits such as that, or if you prefer more time bickering in the Forum.
That being said, we have come to decision to arrange these Moots at a bi-monthly basis! We’ll get back to setting a new date at a later point, so stay tuned.
We hope to see you again, and soon! Anything you want to let us know, just post it on here or contact Lakeworth or Hangart in-game!
