Yeah absolutely. I just think personal suggestions donāt really belong in a helping guide.
Itās like the thread about vulpera lore a few weeks ago that contained less actual lore and more the individuals opinions.
Idk if Iām being clear in what I mean.

I think they can be part of it as much as anything. Itās only a suggestion, after all. And I have a feeling that a lot of people might agree with at least some on the list.

Itās a sample of repeat miscreants who, as you have seen from the list, are there as they are the same people I kept getting contacted about regarding a forum block. As stated, if someone wants to know who exactly they are I can share that via private messages over Discord or In-game.
At the same time so far 10 people contacted me over Disc for the aforementioned IDs/characters so Iām already happy with helping a few indiciduals

True, but the thing is that AD isnāt a house of commons: Youāre not entitled to me having to listen to you or have a conversation with you, or vice versa.
You could say that itās a lazy cop-out but I personally think that if people donāt want to spend their time engaging with people they dislike during their free time, all the more power to them.

Saying that implies that youāre unable to resist replying to someone you know you dislike or something. I simply disagree, but yes, everyone can do as they like; thatāll never be a point of contest.

For anyone who has used this before, Iām assuming there are quite a few names on this particular suggested list, does it not make a lot of threads look really weird and disjointed where there are replies to posts you canāt see etc?
Like missing half of a conversation. If itās one or two posters being blocked Iām sure the impact isnāt huge, but the list in the OP is quite long!

Thereās several, -several- people on these forums that just canāt help to reply when they are called out. I myself have no such problem, but I know alone more people than I can count with my both hands that are incapable of doing so.

Half of it are people from the same guild who, to my limited (read: filtered) knowledge havenāt posted in ages because of a forum vacay. Others are frequent posters but since their contributions are zero sum replies their absence doesnāt affect the threads at all.
Thereās probably a middleground between those two groups but thatās why itās a suggested list. When people contact me I give them all the matching characters and they can just omit those they donāt mind.
Yeah this is cool, miss me with that differing opinions though - between the doxing fence-sitter, the dragon RPer who sees the forums as a philosophical battleground and the carbon-copy OOC griefers thereās probably a handful of people on the forums I could hold a discussion with, who arenāt bad faith arguers. The list included seems more like guidelines and you can always hit the person up on Bnet for advice or to source other names.
Iām not on that list am I?

That sounds like a personality/-impulse problem. If you think the solution is the band aid fix of ignoring people, that creates the (very prominent to AD) echo chamber problem.
If Iām faced with a choice between the these two, then yes, I do really think so.

To spin a 6 paragraph āsteam of consciousnessā rant about who-knows-what as some deep intellectual counterpoint that you need to read carefully and use as the antithesis in your latest piece of hegelian dialectics (yea, I played fallout new vegas, im kind of a brainiac) is a misrepresentation + not something grounded in reality
