When a gamer can’t make a post beyond a bloo bloo bloo I’m tired please be nice to people who have sniped at you for years on end you know they’re going to clutch some straws to give their post a little spice

In fact my response was deleting the offending article (which was in the designated “trash” channel that people really shouldn’t enter expecting good content and replying:

Yeah, by themselves - you’ve seen the quote. They shamed themselves into apologising because they were condemned by their own words. It’s in the post you’re quoting. It’s in the thread you posted in (and therefore have access to). Just go into your activity and jump into the thread, or you know, read this one properly.

You thought wrong! I’ve been “crusading” (more of a PCU thing) against harassment, not against challenging negative behaviour. And I’ve said earlier, by making personal attacks and criticising his character, they exceeded any “calling out” (for the name) and strayed into the realms of harassment. Harassment - repeated insults, mocking, demeaning, belittling, threats, intimidation. Being pretty clear on this since post one!

If you can find any examples of me threatening Vixi in the Rabies thread, if you can find any examples of me making a personal attack on their character, as opposed to their actions, I’d be happy to cop to it. But when I called them a bully, it was only because they admitted to harassing, threatening, and intimidating Rabies.

Not my book friend! In my book threatening and intimidation are bullying, not calling out. Aaaaand again - in Vixi’s own words -

I don’t see how my age in 2011 is relevant to my activity? The very conversation you’re referring to in the discord was me talking about my experiences in 2011 with HoA, which at the time was the first proper role play guild Id joined after joining the server in early cataclysm. Again, if you’re really that fussed about receipts, you have my discord.

So you attacking someone until the yield a point = good / allowed / noble (it’s only calling out)

When looking at the term and the context given the meaning was explicit.

That was a term used as a result of your belief that the term ‘justification’ can only be used to refer to something objectively moral rather than a person’s subjective morality.

To make it so that we’re on the same page, replace the word ‘justification’ with ‘reason’. They basically mean the same thing in this conversation.

Now I haven’t slept for well over 24 hours at this point and I am a taaaad rusty on picking apart bad arguments but let’s begin shall we.

  1. Going against social norms is not necessarily a moral vice.
  2. This seems to imply that your ‘absolute moral justifications’ fall foul of the Naturalistic Fallacy, unless these ‘recent studies’ have proven the existence of morality itself.
    2.5) You never want an absolute moral system that comes from what is observable in nature. Trust me on that.
  3. People can have bad reasons for their actions. I have never said otherwise.
  4. Social norms can have negative reasons behind their existence.
  5. The reason this post took so long is because I have been trying to work out what you were trying to say.

Native English speaker here and in the English language ‘justification’ is used in a very similar way to ‘reason’.
Here is an example of a webpage which claims to use the Oxford Dictionary (the main English dictionary) which has several example statements which would be based on a person’s subjective reasoning
