Forum Is Broken 🛠

Screams in pain

Asks Akunda to hit with a lightning so I can erase my memory of seeing this helmet.

Forum is hella broken now :c

Is this your fault? In asking for a fix did they break more stuff :stuck_out_tongue:

I still cant’ get notifications properly without going to the specific notifcations page. People seem to be having issues with what characters are available to post on. Not been cursed with that one, so far.

It’s probably why they are going to have another go at fixing it on the 17th.

You promised us some kind of blacklist/ignorelist feature, coming anytime soon?

You can ignore people already: Preferences - Users
Or you can go to the profile of the user and set it to Ignored in the top right button.

Nope, it just hides notifications from specific users, doesn’t hide posts they make.

You need to use the “Ignored” list in Preferences - Users, or “Ignored” option in the profile of the affected user.

Notifications is the “Muted” list and option.

It does hide the posts if you choose ignore. They show up as «view 1 hidden reply» or something like that and you have to click to see what is written. It does NOT hide quotes from ignored persons, so kinda lacking still though

Nope, I only have mute option in my preferences.

As explained by Neosaro, Ignored and muted are in the same section of your profile

If you press +Add you should get this option

And be sure to scroll down to choose ‘Forever’ if you don’t want it to be short term.

There is currently no work around to stop seeing the person quoted.

Depending on your forum trust level, you’re not allowed to ignore people; only mute them. :man_shrugging:

Why is that not in tech support?

Oh wow, you’re actually right.

That makes absolutely nooo sense though. I would actually trust a user with a higher trust level more to ignore people without that feature.

Is there any reasoning for this?

Really? That seems utterly illogical. :woman_facepalming:t3:

I do wish we had an official FAQ of what restrictions and features they are actually running. Most things we have discovered via trial and error.

Yup, it’s bonkers.

I have a local Discourse build running and I checked it in the admin panel, but it can’t be changed from there. I don’t think Blizzard can change it either unless they’ve modified the forum software themselves. So it seems the forum software devs have added the feature but no way to set the minimum trust level, it’s always TL 2.
