Forum Link

Hey guys, could we fix the website forum link? You’ve got it pointing to the US forums, again.

It’s pointing here:

Instead of:
https://eu.forums.blizzard.com/en/wow/

I concur, if I go to https://worldofwarcraft.com/en-gb/ and hover over the forums link it’s redirecting to the US site.

It’s not my settings which is usually the culprit when these things happen.

As it was working correctly yesterday prior to the reveal Im guessing someone just copypasted the new website code from US to EU without changing the link especially as the shop link takes us to the US version as well.

Oh good … so it’s not me going mad then, as Shammoz suggested :stuck_out_tongue: Link to Forums on EU website taking me to US forums

It’s pretty typical, honestly, of the EU guys to just apparently copy/paste without taking into account changes in links, time zones, even dates, sometimes. It’s annoying. If they can’t get the basics right, they should just combine the forums and be done with it.

Im more inclined to think there are no EU website techs and this was done by the US website techs

That’s really sad, if that’s really the case. Although if that’s the case, then even more so that they should be able to do their job :stuck_out_tongue:

I’ve reported this here now:

The US forums (to which we’re being directed to use, anyway, via the Armories) actually has a Website Bug Report section, so I’ve used that. As Support here have simply transferred my request for support to the general forums instead. Helpfully.

I’m assuming that therefore means no-one in the EU can do anything about it, wants to do anything about it, or knows how to pass it along to get anything done about it.

Hmm … I’ve just noticed that no blue has replied to any of the bug reports over there for around 6 months. So I guess it’s just not going to get fixed. :man_shrugging:

For clarity, the US bug report forum very rarely gets a QA/dev reply for additional information. The threads usually gets collected as data about possible issues and that’s it.

So essentially, from what I understand - there’s nowhere to report this that will get any attention, any time soon. No-one who looks at the forums can do anything about it themselves, and there’s nowhere else to report incorrect website links. Well I suppose it does follow a bit of a theme …

At least I know that there’s no point telling them stuff like this, so why bother. Ahh … I remember the days when I used to love Blizzard - I felt they cared about the game and everything connected to it, from the top down. Look at us now

There used to be CS people we could contact for stuff like this who, if they couldn’t fix it, would pass it on. That changed after they reorganised the EU offices.

Ah so it’s not just me having this issue :stuck_out_tongue:

This appears to be fixed now. Raise a cheer for the lightning-fast response times! (About the same speed as it takes me to realise I really should avoid jumping off that cliff when I’m not mounted…) splat
