The abuse of FoS to complete the dailies have a few aspects I’m not happy with. Let me explain - I’m doing random HC’s to gear up my DK and everytime I end up in FoS most of the group is high geared players. That is in itself not a problem. But! If we have someone with entrylevel gear in the group someone will try to kick him!
Guys - trying to kick someone for being in gear THAT IS APPROPRIATE FOR THE DUNGEOUN is not ok.
As RDF supporters always said: “Just make your own group!”
I don’t know exactly what you replied to?
This right here.
If you don’t like being kicked for your low level of gear,
It’s pretty obvious, is it not?
Or what, you want votekick to not be available in FoS specifically? Do you honestly think this will not result in much worse abuse of different kind?
Oh, I love the player base. WoW community, please never change.
I mean. People that think you need 5.5k+ gs to clear FoS are the ones that should be kicked, in my opinion.
You can always initiate a vote against them. Reason: Too high GS.
Let us know how it went.
Well 5.5k is very low at this point so they indeed should be kicked its 6k plus or kick
Who in the hell was saying this while supporting RDF?
Pretty much everyone screaming for RDF did. “You do not have to use it, make your own group!”
You included.
The problem isn’t being overgeared. It’s thinking you need to be in ICC HC gear to complete your daily FoS. If you can’t complete FoS HC in a timely manner below 6k gs you clearly do not know how to play the game.
I had one of these groups not too long ago. Everyone was at 6k gs or more and we had a ret pala with Shadowmourne. We didn’t even realise our healer got dc’d in loading screen before engaging first boss. And we still succeeded. It’s that easy.
I am usually not the one being kicked - so you’re telling me that if I make my own group then people will stop being a**hats?
Oh - I don’t want votekick to not be available - I want people to stop being a**hats
Oh, and crying about it on a forum that 20 trolls read is going to suddenly make the raidloggers doing their daily FoS behave and not kick a 4k GS alt just because they can and he will be instantly replaced by a 6k raidlogger? You may as well ask people to stop jaywalking and littering.
I always vote no on the kicks unless the person is genuinely afk, but the game just is what it is. Your crying about it is more annoying than the fact itself. Sod off.
The thing is, I don’t think some people understand what the core principle of a random matchmaking system like RDF is. When you press the queue button, you’re literally signing up for a dungeon with 4 other random people, somewhere between minimal gear requirement to enter and full P4 BiS gear. Nothing more, nothing less.
If you don’t want to run your daily dungeon with completely random people with random gear, there’s also premade groups where you can set whatever ridiculous requirements to entry that pleases you. But if you expect every random player you encounter to be at 6k gs or more you’re simply delusional, and that’s it.
But that’s just, like, your opinion, man.
Yes in fact in FoS I sort of expect everyone to be 6k+ killing mobs without lifting their finger off W button. I won’t kick a 4k alt personally, but I am mildly disappointed if I (rarely) get one and understand perfectly why others kick them.
It’s literally what the system is designed to do. How would you define it if you think I’m wrong?
Why would you expect that? Believe it or not, but there are more people playing this game that are not raidlog mains deep into ICC HC progression.
Oh it is technically what the system does, but the community then puts informal rules on top of it. Like the fact the daily quest is called daily FoS by the community and if you queue FoS, you expect other geared people there doing their daily.
Because that’s what I’ve encountered for last few weeks, in fact over a month I didn’t even see a person below 5700 GS or so in FoS. That’s how the game is.
Yes I know there are a few, not “more”. And the few that there are will have to deal with a risk of being kicked if they happen to random into FoS. It is what it is. I mean you are obviously wrong. There are 20+ geared mains doing FoS for every undergeared alt randoming into it. He’s the exception, not the norm.
Exactly. A community driven problem, like most (but not all) of the current issues the different WoW iterations suffer from. I 100% agree with the thread starter that if you can’t stand the thought of queueing into someone’s alt, you are an a**hat and shouldn’t queue random in the first place. Because you’re getting exactly what you signed up for, and your delusions and misconceptions are wasting other peoples time.
