I’ll be blunt and link it to the American topic which also includes some pictures. Take it with a grain of salt for now:
Don’t get too excited. The new raceIDs in this picture are 15, 16, 17, and 18. All of these numbers are already claimed by existing races that are almost certainly not going to be made into playable allied races. Respectively, these races are;
I wouldn’t be suprised if they added a last pair of ARs in the SL pre-event to fill the last panels in the chara creation screen.
With the transition to Shadowlands they have more freedom in possible races (less about recruiting for a faction conflict).
Also a new AR for the prepatch would give them a lot of useful data for the new leveling changes (and more players get to see the new starting zone).
But maybe it’s more a wish thinking that Mechagnomes aren’t the final AR for Alliance
If there are four new ones we could be getting a race from each covenant. Though it’s hard to say which ones would join which side or if they would be the first neutral ones.
Though they might just give Killian to the Alliance and Venthir to the Horde purely because of Blue and Red.
Jinyu and Hozen should absolutely become allied races. They have been in the Alliance and Horde for so long now. Also Ogres for the Horde! I would race change into an ogre mage instantly.
Ogres would very much make sense. They could use the Kul Tiran model but modified of course to achieve that. Only problem is how would they fit into the current story in SL.
I dont see much talk about Ogres. Then again Machagnomes sort of came out of nowhere so you never know.
