Hello, basically I’m playing WoW Classic: Season of Discovery and as my raids go on, my frame rate steadily keeps going down over time, until eventually it is really bad (under 50-60 fps).
Restarting the game client seems to immediately fix it, however. I alf+f4 and when I restart my fps is normal again for my machine (165+).
I was wondering what could be causing this or how can I fix it? I do not use many addons or anything of the sort
Thanks!
I have seen similar issues in threads like this one:
FPS drops with time. Reset fixes it - Support / Technical Support - World of Warcraft Forums
Is this out of fight FPS?
yes! it just drops over time progressively and eventually it’s gone from 165+ (maybe like 200+ or more if i was uncapped) all the way down to 50 fps, even outside fights etc
Kinda sounds like an addon issue.
Might be some addon or weakaura that is unoptimized.
Reload does not work? Only restarting the game?
There is an addon memory cleanup function in titanpanel, maybe that helps.
reload does not work, I don’t really use titanpanel.
so it’s nothing to do with that “legacy direct x 11” stuff mentioned in the other thread I linked?
You should never use the legacy API, cripples your FPS.
This is a fallback for very old GPUs.
What API are you using? DX11 or 12?
What’s your GPU anyways?
