Why would they lower the cap? Layering was implemented because they didnt want 10k+ people grinding the same zones, doing the same quests, killing the same mobs in the first few weeks. When phase 2 is here, they most people Will be far more stretched out in terms of which lvl they are, which zone they stay. They shouldnt have to lower the cap then.
Because the original vanilla servers had a cap of about 4000 players max. Layering would allow people to escape pvp encounters, which noone wants. Also blizzard promised to remove layer before phase 2. Without layering 10k+ people on realm is just awfull, therefore they have to lower the cap.
I am on one of the servers available to transfer. Thereās no option anywhere to start the transferā¦
I still fail to see your point. But to answer these, somewhat, arguments
U make.
- They had a cap of 4K not because that was the golden number, it was the max the servers at that time could handle.
- Layering indeed needs to go, still i fail to see if there are 10k people on a server ( no idea what the max is atm) how that would give problems furter down the line.
Yes 4k was a technical limit, but it turned out to be a pretty good population for a server. So why change it? If you ever played on a private server with 10k people or more on one server you would know how much this sucks.
So many people conpeting for all the resources makes it practically impossible to level an alt on a pvp server for example.
in the left corner there is a Wow shop button. Inside there, you can buy the free transfer.
Thatās what I tought, I definately do not have a shop button and Iām on Patchwerk
Thats strange, based on the blue post
Yeah, Iām leaning towards this. The thing is, you have two camps of people on these forums. One side is claiming layering was used to increase the cap to allow more players online to have a buffer for when the tourists quit, while the other claims there was no increase in player cap, it was just used because they couldnāt have literally 4000-5000 players in starting zones, killing the same mobs, which would not be necessary once everyone spreads out.
So which is it? I have a busy job and family life. I have no time to sit in an half hour queue. I donāt mind the current Ashbringer queue but I want to know why Blizzard is doing this. Is it because they want to reduce the queue that is there now, or are they anticipating an increase in queues because theyāre removing more layers in preparation for Phase 2.
Thanks for the link. It is definitely not on my character logging screen on Patchwork which is listed in the available servers.
I actually do have experience with that, and it is in no case what u say. As i said: by the time layers are removed,
The playerbase Will be split Across
The World. So no problem leveling an alt there.
Thank you for the update.
However, once again I will point to the problems our only two RP Realms face, due to for a long time being the Realms without a queue and āQueue Refugeesā with no interest in or respect for the RP designation and its special ruleset.
Hence once again others and I would implore you to make transfers available from the RP Servers to non-RP versions of the respective Realms and/or make Transfers possible to a new RP and RP-PVP Server possible.
Classic represents A New Hope, now issues are still able to be brought under control.
Please donāt let your customers who signed up specifically for RP Realms (often 2 weeks in advance, which renewal time is around now) out in the cold.
Thank you for your time and keep up the good work!
Come to Bloodfang.
Despite what is being written in this post Transfers from German servers to Heartstriker have not being activated. I was on a call with customer support, the guys was also not able to transfer from the German PvP servers to Heartstriker (GER). The transfers options are working on english servers. niceā¦
Dragonfang is a growing server, we welcome all queuers!
Why only PvP servers?
Have to say I can see population on Judgement steadily rising. Still not many people over 45, so itās a good place to start on lower levels.
Yesterday evening, on horde side ā¦ 50-60 had 17 people, 45-50 had 47 ppl. But 8-9 or 19-20 yields 50+
Do you really want people to move??
Then allow to CHOOSE THE TARGET LOW-POP REALM !! People isnt moving cause everyone is waiting others to move.
The only players who are really willing to move, are those who have friends splitted accross multiple realms. So, allowing communities to move to the same low-pop realm, will help to populate lows and reduce highs
Dear Blizzard, donāt make it so we are forced to only one realm! Nobody, as in nobody I know will move from a high/full server to a new/low pop. serverā¦ They either start new characters at medium populated servers or will just accept the queue. Let us be free to choose our own server, with maybe a restriction that it canāt be higher then a medium populated server and this might help a lot more! At the moment you wonāt get anyone to transfer to new/low population serversā¦
Earthshaker is good so far. Healthy ally pop with more guilds planning to move over just need more tanks! Questing is much easier than on Gehennas
