Well, invent something so adding more layers increases realm capacity. Scalable servers.
This would remove the need for the unpopular cross-realm thing, even on retail.

This time I want Blizzard to pay or compensate me to transfer.
“Free” doesn’t cut it when there’s another 25€ pricetag when the server fails again.

What measures are you, as a company, taking do address this issue?
I can tell you what you haven’t done; locked the transfers.
It should have been done a long time ago! Firemaw has been “full” for at least 6-8 months.
Dead realms are not attractive to transfer to. Offering us free transfers is not the solution to the monster of a mega server you have allowed Firemaw to become. You really have to do better than this.

If blizzard would actually EVER listened to their PAYING customers they would have fixed this issue 6 months ago. And giving a free char transfer with no other incentive than you won’t have queues is useless. We have no guarantee the server we transfer to isn’t gonna die in a couple of weeks when most people have cleared the newest raid content. Either give us more incentive to free transfer or force merge servers to make current small servers bigger and more desireable to play on.

Well that worked quite well when Zul’Aman launched. There were literally no queues.

Let’s be serious here. This game is already dead. These past couple of years you’ve made terrible choices on your games and it’s clear that you don’t respect your players any more. The fact that you’re rebooting a 15 year old game just because you once had an extremely captivating MMO is evidence enough. You killed retail WoW years ago, you killed Overwatch quickly after its amazing release and you decided to kill classic WoW when you made it possible for bots to instantly enter Outland by creating a new account and simply paying you some money. We all know the game is reaching its end and you’re just desperately trying to milk your small remaining playerbase of what money you can get.
There used to be a time where Blizzard was a respected gaming company and gamers looked up to you but nowadays I feel ashamed for still having an active subscription on your platform. I don’t know if Activion is to blame or not, even though it’s extremely off putting to open Battle.net launcher, only to see so many well known fantasy games next to “Call of Duty 35: Modern Warfare 3: Black OPS 23.7 Warzone etc etc” or whatever the hell the latest remaster of the same exact game in the last 20 years is called. The fact remains that you blew everything out of the window and with it, all the respect and awe that the brand “Blizzard” once had.
The journey was epic but at the end of the road there was only bitterness and disappointment waiting for us. Either that or I grew old and became grumpy. In any case, after my commitment with my guild ends, I will forever part ways with Blizzard and all that it stands for.

Do you honestly believe we have the memory of a fish or something? During ZA launch we ALSO had massive queue issues. We suddenly miraculously got more layers and you could see the queue MELT.

Brilliant so the response from Blizzard is not a creative or pro-active solution. Rather another, “You can just transfer to another server that is half the experience you’re currently having because we can’t be bothered to fix the queues.”
I have news for you, THE SOLUTION IS NOT FREE CHARACTER TRANSFERS TO DEAD REALMS. how does an alliance player benefit by transferring to Mograine, a completely dead server? Yet you are presenting that as a solution.
People are paying money to play this game, we have great memories tied up to this game and you are literally ruining this experience.
The solution is to allow communities to play together and create an environment to allow them to do it, NOT to say, please split up your communities because we can’t do anything about the queue times and don’t want to spend money on upgrading the services.
Where is the creative, compassionate and game lead company that built this game in the first place. STEP IT UP.

Please feedback this response is ill thought out, we are not cows to be milked, please provide additional layers and remove the cap of only 4 layers - so we can actually login. Not difficult to understand or difficult to do, as its been done before.
Also, get a wiggle on, the wider team responds far too slowly to paying customers.
Blizzard have shown complete incompetence and zero management skills during almost the whole Classic experience. Whoever is in charge of keeping an eye on server balance should be fired. Certain wow servers who’s name shall not be spoken do a 100% better job of managing realm balance and incentivising players to keep logging in week after week. I have completely lost faith in Blizzard and only keep playing this game because of the community.

Ashbringer player here. Dont transfer here from Firemaw, dead server, my subscription expires in few days and i canceled it, i dont even log in anymore because there is so little activity on server and no free transfers ,im not paying monthly sub+ character transfer thats not fair to community. I feel bad for leaving the game but i dont wanna pay to fix problem i didnt create.

Stop making excuses, we wan’t to play the game on a certain realm, make it happen, majority of the playerbase is a raid logger so only the instance servers will be busy

The realm should have been locked a long time ago when the population started to increase too much.
But blizzard saw the $$$ coming in so they did nothing.
Now they want us to transfer off so they can make more $$$ in the near future.
When you think about it from their perspective they are being frighteningly competent at short-term profit.
