I had the issue but if you start a paid transfer and cancel when you need to pay you should be able to use the free transfer.
So there’s about 21k people on draenor, 2k in login queue.
Fair to assume 10% already moved, and another 10% don’t bother with is yet and wait till rush hour is over. So I’d estimate at least 30% or 7000 people are trying to move away…

I see you helping people transfer, telling them that they should definitely keep trying if it doesn’t work, that they should transfer ALL characters at the same time just in case and here you are telling people they should transfer since the issues will definitely keep happening into Christmas which is hilarious since there is now ay you can know. You’re just guessing or better, you’re making it up to scare people into transferring.
And why are you not leaving?

I literally dont have much time to play, now I have to transfer away from the realm I have been playing on for so long away from all my friends and guilds. Even if I want to transfer I first have to log in… sad panda noises…
What I like to know is will there be similar CTA weeklies kill players in x zone for cp, or just honor, and how much will it reward? Because looking at the transferable realms they are all ridiculously one sided with 90:1 horde or alliance. I don’t want to be on another realm that’s empty of world pvp meat. Still baffling how blizz won’t have a transfer realm list with this data, total population, how many horde/allies there are etc. If you don’t dig it up yourself from unrealiable outdated 3rd party sites how the hell is anyone supposed to know what kinda dead or unbalanced realm they end up in next with all 10-20 chars and a $200 bill to transfer again in a few months…

Is there any other way to transfer my character without waiting to login to the server?
Currently, the queue is 2 hours and it is painful to wait that long just to complete the transfer process.

How do you know if transfer is complete or it did not go through? are you notified or something?
I never understand why posts like this do not list what realms the transfers are available from.
It would have been wise to actually let people know in game how long a transfer might take.
Just transferred my main who just hit 60 and I can no longer play them, I would have opted for Threads of Fate to carry on levelling a different toon in the meantime but I didn’t realise you have to actually complete a small part of the covenant campaign. Now I’m left with nothing to do still…

I haven’t told a single person to transfer. I’ve only seen you telling me that I am somehow required to transfer.
Just stop lying. I have not told any to move a single character nor have I told anyone to move all their characters.
When asked if people could move multiple characters I answered that they could move more than one and that it would be better to move all that you want to go to the same server at more or less the same time. Because sometimes the destinations realms are shut to further transfers. So if you move one today and want to move another next week you may find you can no longer go to the same desination.
I suggest you give up on this vendetta.

I waited 2 hours to get into Draenor and the only realm transfer option is to pay. Can anyone confirm if the free transfers are ongoing?
On the character selection screen, you can see the option in the Wow Shop under Services

I tried to move 5 chars about 8 hrs ago, the first has just made it.
Had to use the weird work around that has been mentioned above though (use pay>cancel>back to free)

Who would ever x-fer anyways? It is a complete waste especially since the game generally dies out after first raids weeks.
No. I made a new char on the realm I was moving to so I didn’t have to log in to Dreanor, then just checked every hour.

Yeah you got to type in the realm name you want to go to… why not offer picks or atleast the full realm list :S
There seem to have been lots of issues, I presume it’s partially due to high demand of the service and ofc all the ongoing queue/lag issues we’ve been having
