Free pvp ranking "pool boosting"

Hello

I see alot of groups advertised for “pool boosting” as they call it on my server offering to rank up easy and fast

Something about making lots of level one characters and allowing the enemy to kill you multiple times and vice versa to gain ranking fast without actually having to pvp legitimately

I have sent blizz a ticket and they said they will look into it and the players offering these services , is this a well know exploit? Will blizz remove all the fake pvp rankers?

How do real pvp’ers feel about this happening ? If you have spent all that time doing battle ground etc to gain rank only for someone else to farm level ones and get the same reward from ranking up as you get? (I am no means an expect on wow pvp)

From what i can tell the only argument for doing it is because its far too difficult to level up within the brackets - so they cheat and do this to gain the rank 10 gear+ sets etc?

heard the term “Welfare ranking” on another topic, thought that described it pretty well

pvpers where always incredibly dedicated people/addicted/mental to me (back in vanilla) due to the amount of time needed to compete/move up the rankings, but that was just how it was.

Should blizz maybe just give everyone the highwarlord gear etc for free and just let everyone have fun, would that be better solution? Just dont let them use gear it outside BG’s like how the potions work.

Clearly you didnt understand the point of making alts for “honor boosting”. Point is to make a lot of low level characters and kill 15 enemies so that the character increases the pool of rank eligible players, which in turn increases the sizee of pvp brackets. As a result more people can place in higher pvp brackets and get more rank at the end of the week.
Literally every player in PvP benefits from this whether they choose to participate or not.

yeh the way this works is that everyone doing pvp on your server will participate in the “pool boost”. Let’s say your server only has about 500 players, in essence that means only 1 player at the top can get ranks and rewards and no one else.

That’s why you boost up the pool of players to let’s say around 1 or 2000, that way many more can get high ranks and rewards and it doesn’t hurt anyone. You will not find any pvp player that would be against this.

Like the others said - this is simply a way for the players to gain more ranking points for their entire faction. It does nothing but help, the opposing faction is unaffected as well.
