Fun to play class

Hi guys, im new in wow, I play retail (for real mens).
I played bm hunter but he is sooo boring, so please, give me fun to play classes that I will not sleep at dungeons

Fury war feels cool. But atm most classes/spec are kinda boring.

Make a warrior. But every class is fun, try them out in the training thingy

It kind of depends whats fun to you ?
Monk has a lot of speed , Rogue is all crafty with stealth and pickpocket.
Death Knights are just a true hero class usually their theme to me is awesome.
Druid is the 4 spec utility guy stealth/animal forms.
Demon hunter is the fastest overall.
Mage has the prettier spells and polymorph, invisibility and blink
Warlock is a good all rounder.

I think most classes are pretty simplistic in isolation. The fun, for me, comes from more challenging content (whatever that is for someone) where knowledge and experience come into play. BM Hunter really is very dull, though, and half the damage is from the pet. You could also look into other roles, like tanking and healing.

I like all classes tbh. I myself play MM hunter when on a hunter. Druid is also very fun! But yea…I like them all except for dks :stuck_out_tongue:

I found playing classes with over the top kit’s tend to be very stimulating and fun. The idea of winning 1 vs 2 scenarios keeps me mentally stimulated so if you’re looking for something like that I’d suggest ret, dh or ww maybe or even mage.

Try survival.

As far as leveling goes, it’s fun.
I mean, it’s fun at 120 too, but people hold strong prejudice against it.

Warriors are SUPER fun to level - especially once you get to double charge and possibly double leap from PvP talents.
If you plan on grinding dungeons, go prot and rock the damage meters

Go DK. It’s the only logical choice. Just avoid frost.

Join the warrior band baby. Best thing ever since dawn of time. Magic shmagic- Nothing beats axe and hammer.

Besides infinite blinks of Cana
And freeze bombs of hunter
And fear of locks

Warriors though have next to no utility and very limited CC.
Other than that - pretty whacky class.

Honestly, this expansion most classes are kinda boring but the classes that are really fun in my opinion are Demonology warlock (once you get to a certain level) and fury warriors. Both of these specs got a quick and fun gameplay. Honestly I struggle to decide which one of those classes to main because for me both of 'em are really fun.

Honorable mentions:
Frost mage: a spec that I spent the most time on since I started playing WoW. I really like the visuals and the procs of the spec. I do get bored of it sometimes but I always come back for more.

Resto/Balance Druid: resto druid is a healer. I personally love to heal sometimes and resto is the spec to go for me. Beautiful visuals and so many ways to save your group members. Balance druid is a ranged dps. You got a strong AOE and single target damage, the visuals of the spec are nice and beautiful and generally it is a fun spec. Idk why but it’s pretty good. You cannot go wrong with druids.

Monks: Brewmaster monk is pretty hard for beginners so I wouldn’t recommend it but both Windwalker monk and Mistweaver monk are a lot of fun. You got tons of mobility, tons of aoe damage, cool visuals, an exp boost so you level up faster than other classes. Mistweaver in my opinion is a great class to learn to heal with. With monk you can do pretty much anything. It is one of those classes that you NEVER chose when you first start playing the game but when you do give it a chance it is fun.

With that being said - Warrior and Warlock are my personal favorite

dh are fun and versatile, and quite strong.
if you are a ranged, pet player, maybe give warlocks a shot?
druids have everything going for them also
Plenty plenty of choices

I would advise with trying rogue.

The stealth aspect truly adds another dimension to the game, and the little things that makes you useful ( lockpicking, shroud, tricks of the trade )

They are awesome if you like wpvp aka Ganking.

For a true “ Rambo behind enemy lines “ feeling go Orc rogue.

I would have loved it as a 4th spec and kept SV from Cata/MoP

At the thread starter none of us can tell you what is fun ,what is fun for me could be boring for you.

So what i suggest is making a class trail of each class and try them out .

Depends on what you find fun…

I always enjoyed rogues, but that’s just me, you might like something different…

For leveling and questing, what I find most fun is:

Rogue, you just have to expect energy starvation for a good chunk of the first levels. After that point they are indeed very fun. I love the sneakiness, pickpocket and burst. The class fantasy is one of my favurites.

Frost mages are pretty nice as well, I like them a lot and find them fun. They have a really nice gameplay this expansion, compared to previous ones.

WW monk are good fun as well, and they are actually rather strong as well, from the start really. And they are great with mobility.

Ret Paladin, I personally find just as boring as a BM, but I like Prot pala a lot, its great for soloing. Only thing to keep in mind is that it takes you just as long to kill 3-4 mobs as it does to kill just 1.

Once you are able to, you should try out a DH, the rotation is very simple, but still people are having a great time playing them I hear. Never was my personal cup of tea though.

And then finally the Druid. This is a very good starter class, because you can try out all aspects of the spec type. Range DPS, Melee DPS, Tank or Heals. There’s shapeshifting, build-in insta mount, flight form and swinform. Druid is always in at least one spec good.
Only downside for me personally is that I get tired of not seeing my mog, unless I play the healer.

Druids are very fun while leveling. They have instant mounts (ground and flying), water forms, healing abilities and whatnot.

I started to level a new druid before Classic came out and I found Balance to be a very fun spec to level. For some odd reason feral form in balance deals more damage than feral form in feral spec. I don’t know how far that will last but at least level 60 this is still the case. It gives some nice variation to game as you can be a sneaky backstabber or a ranged DPS, or both.

Warriors are fun too, especially fury spec when you get those haste procs fromn various sources. It is just pure havoc to your enemies.

Depends what is “fun”?

Mobility in combat?

Combos?

Big numbers? Hard and slow?

Lots of small numbers very frequently? Quick and small?

Complex?

I second Uruk that DK is pretty entertaining. I don’t even mind Frost, sure its simple as they come, but sometimes that’s fun, and I can just focus on the various “frost mini games” that frost plays like:

  • how high can I stack pillar
  • Can I keep remorseless winter up long enough to reset the duration but keep the damage stacks?
  • how long can I keep breath of windragosa up for?
Pretty much RNG in any case, but it’s ridiculously fun to pull like 12 enemies and kill them all with breath, winter and such. Plus frost aesthetics are fun.

Now Unholy is more complex for sure. A bit more to be aware of in terms of wounds, ensuring RP is spent properly and dividing runes between application of wounds on targets and popping them. This said there are fewer things more fun than having multiple enemies get wounded, then you burst all the sounds in your DnD and epidemic spam, so much numbers on the screen and absurd AOE damage! It’s like you set up a bomb and then let it off!

Is it just dps you’re looking for BTW? Survival as many have said has plenty going on which feels fun. I like arms as well over fury, optimising those colossus windows with test of might is fun to see the big numbers.

I think I just like classes that end up having “minigames” in their rotations where you see how far you can push a window of opportunity. I like fire mages as well for the same reason!
