Just wondering what others are doing right now, are you going to keep playing untill the game maybe dies or gets bettee? Are you just quitting and what games are you going to play instead? And do you think there is still hope for world of warcraft or is this the end?
Edit:
Personally I don’t feel ready to quit I enjoy playing the game and as much as I am shocked about what happened and I feel that people need to pay for their actions, I know there are still people within blizzard who have a passion for the game and i wouldn’t want them to suffer because of the actions of others, let me know your thoughts.

I will say I am, and probably many people are in a transition period where they will play multiple MMOs. As time will move, we will spend less and less time in Azeroth and more time elsewhere. Over that time, Blizzard mistakes will get less traction as content creators, and serious players leave PTR testing, meaning they make more mistakes. This will hit what is left of the causal audience since the dam is no longer there to hold back the problems, and what’s left of the casual audience, which cares, will start complaining but have no fundamental knowledge on how to fix it. They will know something doesn’t feel right.
Then it will deteriorate like a diminishing disease. Without non-traditional marketing, WoW fade into irrelevance, and the community will break apart faster. You cant even get a hello or goodbye for the large part in dungeons these days.
This has been building for seven years. The accusations for a lot were the last straw in a mountain straws. The allegations are secondary at best the way the development team has never really innovated or taken care of the world rather than just the current expansion area is horrifying. It’s the world of Warcraft, not shadowlands. I shouldn’t have to be in the afterlife to have a fulfilling experience with my friends, but the systems, which half-backed and mental for the most, i.e. shards of domination, makes me not want to play the game, and I shouldn’t feel that. I have spent more time building a garrison since 9.1 and that 7yrs old, which I have done 90 times.

The whole thing, and the more and more details that come out are disgusting. It has most certainly left a sour taste in my mouth when I go to play the game. The first day the news hit I was shocked. It took some time to process and every time more information comes out it’s another blow.
I will not be quitting but I can totally understand people who are cancelling their subs. I personally don’t care that I’m paying for a game where development has reportedly pretty much halted and staff our protesting. I think this is something that needs to be done. If at some point I run out of things to do in game, I may consider taking a break.
I will be watching the case develop and see what the outcome is. I am hoping we end up with a better Blizzard. I hope they get rid of all the bad apples. All the victims that are still there deserve a better workplace. All those that have had to leave also deserve justice.

Still playing, not going anywhere (tbh technically unsubbed but it expires very late next year) . I prefer to support the ‘little people’. Who do you think will be fired first if subs fall etc. It won’t be lead designers, it won’t be Bobby. It will be the lowest paid people (often Women) the very people we are trying to protect.
I respect people’s right to un-sub and never return, they will hopefully respect mine to hang around (for now) and try to support those in Blizzard just trying to make a living and to have the right to work in a safe environment.

Still playing. I am minority on the forums and actually like Shadowlands. Don’t care even the slightest about what’s going on in the background.

As for me , still playing. I do enjoy Shadowlands as well. I do care what goes on in the background to some degree, but the player base won’t be able to do anything about it anyway. Even if people decide to stop a subscription that doesn’t affect how they behave.

Unsubbed again, but before the scandal, the game devs design decisions and overall systems I’m tired of it…
I have way more fun playing other games

I won’t play until e 9.3/10.0 because the game is trash, overly repetitive and boring atm.
Not because what happened in their offices, that is a disgusting thing but has nothing to do with the game itself.

Hey, I recognise that guild name! Nice to see a fellow Hordie from Emerald Dream-Terenas!
I’m still playing and don’t plan to quit, for now. The allegations and everything that has come out (and is still coming out) make me sick, it’s just horrible. But if everyone cancels their subs, then the innocent people at Blizzard who have already suffered enough will be punished too. It’s a personal choice, and I respect whatever choice people want to make for themselves.
As for the game itself, can’t say I’m hugely enjoying it at the moment. I enjoy it enough to keep playing, but more and more I find myself with nothing I want to do in game. Playing with friends and guildies is what keeps me here more than anything else. If people drop out or if we achieve our goals (e.g. KSM and Curve), I’m not sure if there’s enough to stick around for. And I’m someone who can almost ALWAYS find stuff to do in game…

Still playing but it doesn’t feel the same anymore. Waiting for Paila to launch.

I left the game so i can spend more time on forums. Currently its where all the rage is about, but seriously I’ve been having more fun answering posts (sometimes trolling I admit) than logging in the game in this state.
At the moment i really don’t feel like raiding and i wasn’t much good at pvp so the only thing thats left is suffer through repetitive content for the sake of unrewarding state of m+. I don’t even wanna talk about weekly chest or valor points dissapointement and the constant lies. The “we hear you and will fix it” and then they implement some half baked, money grabbing solution just crossed the line. I dont mind their money grabbing, dont get me wrong, id do it too if i could, but higher ups need to realize they need to give a fair and normal chance for everyone to get the char progression THEY want, not some time/rng restricted crap.
Like - shards. They implement shards and domination gear (again new system BfA all over again) - which is op - leave it for world-first race and a week after - then they nerf it or will nerf it. Why nerfing? So the guilds that already struggle with progression struggle even more? Makes no sense.
Anywho, decided i wont let my nostalgia dictate my wow addiction so currently im playing wow forums eu - nice text based game, lots of ppl playing, stable char progression, i do miss the token so i can get a faster blue/green/purple upgrade, going over swtor story again, trying eso - wow combat spoiled me there, ff14, new world, destiny 2, warframe…but im basically waiting for lost ark to hit or maybe, just maybe, wow gets better.
As others have said does not feel the same anymore.
I am deemed a casual player and have gone from playing on various alts to just playing on my main in the last couple of days so freeing my time on IRL things.
I will now also take a look at other games which I would never have done before. - been playing wow since 2005.
My sub doesn’t end till October so will decide nearer the time.

Playing since BC, love the Woltk exp playing religiously, after that unsub on Cata exp. I have try again on Panda for a few months and quitting again.
Returning for shadowlands exp because of all promises, quitting the expansion after 3 months.
I have give a true shot on FFXIV with the free plan playing till lvl 60, and after ending Heavensward expansion (OMG what a expansion), i bought the FFXIV complete game, sub for 2 months and pre-order the Endwalker next expansion. Every day I log into FFXIV gamming session , with the same pleasure that I logged into WOW in BC and Woltk exp 12 years ago.

This game is going to be more and more catered to people who dont care about “competetive” endgame. They want the Dad playing the game leveling a few alts, progressing their normal raid that needs to outgear M+10 because they are the big whales Blizzard is aiming for. As always its about money and Ion’s statement about the " plenty of People that care about the Journey" only confirms this.
Thats why we have conduit energy and covenants, so they can choose not to play to a min/max standard and have an excuse for it. Its the one and only purpose it serves. They want to get rid of Min/Maxing People as they call them “toxic” but its their own fault people play the game in this way. The entire game revolves around logging in on wednesday and preparing to get the most out of wednesday. They are completely disconnected from their “elitist” playerbase and they want it to be like that.
There are so many annoyances EVERYWHERE that I rather watch a video or play something else because just by thinking about it I dont even wanna start the game. Dungeons only revolving around one Boss or a specific trash mechanic, Time-Gated Power gain that are way too strong to lock behind timegating that make me question why I even play a patch release, repetetive upgrade like conduits or the same gear dropping over and over again that needs to be refarmed every patch… the list can go on and on.
Because of this I will most likely abandon WoW as other games and genres simply choose to cater to an audience that cares about competetive endgame and these games are doing way better than WoW does. Blizzard seems to hate people that are this way.
And the absolute worst thing is the game is this way because some people inside Blizzard cant keep their hands to themselves and improve the game for everybody.
I’m borderline quitting. The game itself isn’t too great, but the community has lost its way as well. You can spend hours looking for a group before you even play the game and its ruined by toxic players.
I feel like, yes, the game is in a bad way. But I’ve also never known the player base to be so toxic. Maybe its out of frustration at the game that they take it out on other players.
All I know is, I’ve had my best times in WoW back in MoP. Everything seemed perfect for me back then, and since then, WoW has never been the same. Tbh I even enjoyed WoD and I played that by myself because everyone I played with from MoP had quit. But the new systems added in Legion ruined the game for me, and its never been the same. I dont feel like borrowed power should have ever been the answer and mythic+ and rng gearing ruined everything I enjoyed.

Somewhere right on the edge, blizzard has disappointed too many times since after legion for me to care about their products anymore, only thing just keeping me in is the guild at the moment. If it ever disbands then I would also be out immediately.
I dont fully understand the question.
If you are having fun, why would you even consider quit?
If you arent having fun, the obvious thing to do is to quit, for a time or for ever.
If its about the lawsuit, thats a issue for the courts and has nothing to do with the game.

Some people (justifiably) have moral objections. For them it is not just about the current game (for some it is) it is about Blizzard as a company (not just the recent allegations, there have been several things over the last few years.)
Of course I’m playing and I’m subbed, why wouldn’t I? I love the game, and I enjoy playing, nothing else matters.
