Future Plans for Fresh Classic Servers - Can We Get a Clear Path? (Please give us a blue post)

Hey Blizzard team,

Thanks for the hard work on bringing Classic back and for your continued updates with the fresh servers. The community has a few questions that we’d love some transparency on, especially for planning our classes and time investment.

Could we get a clear answer on the future plans for these fresh Classic servers?

1. Will fresh Classic servers cycle through all expansions (up to WOTLK and beyond), or will they stop at The Burning Crusade and become TBC Era servers? Knowing this would help us gauge whether we’re investing in a stable TBC experience or looking at another progression cycle.
2. Will there be an option to copy characters over to a Classic Era server, while the original characters progress to The Burning Crusade? Many players would like the choice to keep a version of their character in Classic Era for the vanilla experience, even if the fresh server progresses through TBC.

A lot of players are eager for a roadmap so we can properly decide what classes to main and what to expect down the line. We really appreciate your vision here, and a clear blue post would go a long way in building trust and allowing us to enjoy the game fully.

People will change their classes while playing during 2025 anyway.
We have more than 14 month to change our main or alts until TBC hits the server.

However, this here is still important to know:

Sorry bro i get that you like tbc era but its NEVER COMING. its collectively the least desired expac and has already been proven to the case on private servers. few hundred will play it at any given time and thats not enough incentive for blizz to keep up era servers.

at best you will only ever get (hyper-accelerated) progression realms
