We’ve had the same issue I and 4 of my guildies, what did the trick was to switch two lines in the ''Config.wtf" under \World of Warcraft_retail_\WTF to SET gxApi “D3D11” and SET gxMaximize “0”
Dear sirs all over the internet.
My game takes about 5 minutes to launch when i manage to start it up i get a pixely squary resolution cant write tickets and as soon as i try to enter the system settings in the game menu to make any kind of setup to make the game playeble the game crashes . Any ideas? Pre-patch everything was fine, reinstalled the game updated drivers .
Your problem is resolution scalling, move it to 100%. I had this issue at the start of bfa

I don’t know how a company that does that for years now still can’t accept and fix their mistakes as soon as possible and we even pay for this game it is not a free game.

Yes. My original problem was the starting, but change resolution random during running the game.
Probably there is a (new|bad| any) default resolution remained in the patch, which is not supported on all of platforms. So, some PC run into the problems, while another ones no.
I hope, the developers could give a revision.
However I closed the client (wow and battle.net) renamed
%appdata%…\Local\Battle. net
%appdata%…\Local\Blizzard
%appdata%…\Local\Blizzard Entertainment
to *.backup respectively and restart the game, and this is seem to be resolved the random changes at the moment
AMD Radeon HD 8500m/8700m - working before 8.1 / not working after 8.1 unable to start the game

and waited on white screen like 5 mins and it just worked. i will quit the game and try it again. stay tuned…
edit: i got in the game. After 30 secs i hit the ESC key and clicked ‘‘System’’ and game crashed xD
Edit2: After 3 mins game came back and disconnected to login screen and i clicked system again at the login screen it crashed again. I am waiting. I guess after 3 mins it will come back ![:smiley:](https://d1bg94bbsh66ji.cloudfront.net/en/wow/images/emoji/twitter/smiley.png?v=6" ":smiley:")
Edit3: I made it after 6 mins to the system. I changed my all graph settings to lowest and clicked apply and it stucked again. Waiting for the game to apply the new settings. Stay tuned
Edit4: ıt is taking a lot of time to change settings but its not disconnecting or shutting down. After this i will hop in game and check it out. By the way i have lots of things going on at LOGS folder in WOW i dunno how to post here thoose files in here for someone to read. Maybe you guys can figure it out whats going on.
Edit5: okay guys now i am able to play game after change my setting in 20 mins lol. I wıll quit the game and start it again to see what will happen.

Hah, your GPU became too old overnight like mine and other 500+ ppl. Obviously it’s not blizzard fault
