Game taking ages to launch

There was a Battle.net app update this morning and now the game takes 10 min to launch. Anybody know a fix? I tried the repair button, did nothing.

Same, launch loads something but it never boots the game, even through the classic folder it doesn’t boot.

Also Retail launches, it’s just the Classic versions that aren’t booting up.

Edit: After about 5-10 minutes it finally loaded.

This have happend for 3times now, they patch something in Cata or MoP Classic and they break anniversary / era / sod client.

Ctrl alt delete, make sure anything with Battle.net and WoW are not running, then you open battle.net launcher again and click on the cogwheel next to play, scan and repair and then click play, wait 30sec and the game will launch. I did this fix like the previous times and it worked for me and guildies.

Not a fix, but a workaround:
Open Task Manager, click “Details” click WowClassic.exe. Close trask manager.
WoW will now open.

Great they broke classic again with spaghetti code that implements updates to other versions from time to time, like legendary alliance rend, retail lfg and else.
Don’t worry guys, it is just small indie company from 3rd world country

Game not launching

Guys, follow the steps outlined here (Windows or Mac): The reason you can turn off internet, manually open game, then turn internet back on, enter credentials is because the problem is a network issue. Rather than do that, you simply create a Firewall rule in Windows (or follow the steps I outlined for Mac) and it will work normally.

The blocking IP doesnt work for me . probably wrong IP for my region or something .

The solution is
1: Stop your internet
2: Start the game from the exe in the game folder (WowClassic.exe)
3: Reconnect your internet
4: Login on the game …

A downside to this is obviously that Blizzard will lock you account for a few days, with the excuse that it have been “compromised”.

Thank you, the fix works but we are probably seeing a side effect soon.
