Your not helping your argument by ignoring others, taking one bit and screaming about it. How about trying to form a full thought in your head before throwing up on your keyboard.
MMOs are about interacting with people, teaming up, joining guilds, making friends. If you want a solo experience go play a single player game. End of story mate.
Joining a guild, making friends and teaming up with people isn’t just spamming macro’s. If you are so socially inept that you can’t interact with people in an MMO and you have to resort to spamming macros for everything, then MMOs are not for you.
I hate the new tool as well, I would have it removed if it was up to me. It keeps letting people join and auto converting groups to raid groups for some reason. It is not even good at the job it was meant to do, and even if it worked well it would still be a bad addition. LFD is just the same thing but automated. I don’t want any of it!
RDF has never been a good way to find friend or join guilds because it was cross realm as soon as Cata came out.
If you are going to add any new tools to the game, make it easier for people to find the right guilds for them. The guild finder tool in retail isn’t actually that bad, it would have fit much better.
Well I don’t. Because I’m PRO-RDF like you and every sane player here. And I’m so annoyed and tilted that Blizzard didn’t add it to the game yet that I’m gonna delete all my chars and unsub if they don’t implement RDF this week. I’ve said it before. I suggest you and all the other PRO-RDF bros do the same to show them we mean business.
Half way through TBC they could go to forum, or just ask their oh so glorious WCC, and say: “Hey guys we are not really fans of RDF, heres bunch of our suggestions how to improve it, and then you can tell us your ideas”
Instead they removed RDF without 0 reason and started adding bunch of garbage noone asked for and things that unlike RDF are actually going to ruin the game …
Daily quest in dalaran, no crossrealm, make crossrealm only for uderpopulated realms, add the actual retail group finding tool not the garbage we have, add ID lockouts, make people discover dungeons first, remove RDF buff or give same buff for manual groups, add personal loot, add emblem limit … yada yada …
We are not getting original wotlk anyway, so why we should be stuck with original RDF …
And again, removing RDF is going to fix literally 0 issues the game now has … if removing RDF helped, we would actually see it in the game after 2 eras without it …
No. We must all delete and unsub together. At the same time. So Blizzard will feel the shockwave. There’s like 16k of us pro-RDF bros here on the forums alone. We are the overwhelming majority and we need to make ourselves noticed. By deleting our toons and canceling our subs at the same time.
This is what I keep saying, complacency. The same mind set killed retail wow and lost them 10 million subs. “We already have this bad thing, may as well add more bad stuff so we can speed up dealing with other bad stuff”.
We should be pressing for a U-Turn on the other rubbish, not adding more to fire.
They killed wow, now we get a second chance to play it again and we are diving straight down the same hole. Yeah Blizzard isn’t helping, they are seeing people don’t want one thing and using that to add other stuff while we complain. Push back, don’t just fall in line.
Simple as that mate.
Amazing and yet the most social interactive mmo i’ve seen had rdf and a lfr, FFXIV. It’s not rdf tht kills the game its the community toxicity and elitism
But removing RDF is literally what makes classic worse, because its no longer #nochanges its #somechanges and that means M+ in wotlk …
You have toxic community without RDF
You have toxic community with RDF
Nothing has changed, with RDF its only less pain in the dongliz to play and more closer to the original … which is why we wanted wotlk in the first place …
They are really gatekeeping entry dungeons where players are supposed to gear up?
I agree that it’s really bad idea to go straight to dungeons at lvl 68 in quest gear from Outland but lvl 70 and crafted gear should be sufficient for doing entry dungeons and for dps even Northrend quest gear is OK if both tank and heal are good.
Gatekeeping make sense in raids and possibly heroic dungeons not for Utgarde Keep on Normal difficulty.
People keep throwing the word “Elitist” around, people who don’t want LFD are not elitists, they are just people who remember playing the old game, who have had 2 expacs without it and are enjoying it and want to continue as they have been for the passed few years.
No one here is an elitist, we are just people who want the old style of games to come back, we are unhappy with modern games and want to avoid the same pit falls. We still enjoy the old style, it is not just nostalgia, we actually like this.
They made classic to let us play the old game, the way it use to be. Yeah they have already made changes that we don’t like, but building more rubbish on top doesn’t hide it, it just makes it a bigger pile of rubbish.
Just leave it be, or push back against the bad changes they already made, don’t make it worse for the people who actually advocated for this to exist in the first place.
The people you are complaining about are the reason classic exists in the first place. We asked for it, we pushed back against the closing down of private servers who provided the experience we wanted.
