Make your own groups, solved. It is not really that hard.
If ppl stoped joining HR groups they would disappear.

Or not play on servers with “pro gamers” and other basement dwelling virgins… Never seen this from Alliance on Nethergarde Keep
If you want to do a quick heroics split you obviously will try to find people with good gear only. There is nothing wrong with it. If nobody wants to take you, feel free to make your own group.

This solution does not solve the annoying thing to do dungeons without RDF.
I did the world tour with my guild and it’s annoying, and i already did back in 2016 and all players realized they was wrong so Devs put RDF after that.
Blizzard is exactly doing what J Allen Brack said “You think you do but you don’t”, lol hilarious, and ridiculous. Also ridiculous to make the same error than a pserv 6 years ago.
Just start your own group, and pick whoever you like.

Except tanks won’t join your group if you don’t play meta class because 1) they got more groups available and they will always choose group with better classes or 2) they make groups themselves and cherrypick certain classes.
Is it truly this hard to find a tank for a group? I’m having a quite opposite experience when i form groups

That is because these people who cry, are probably still level 70 - 73. While most people are way past that.
How manny tanks do they think will stay in that bracket forever?
Otherwise there are plenty tanks with every tanks spec being strong now.

If it is anything like when the new version of the Onyxia raid came out the first time it will be exactly how you say. The second reset was full of “LFR Ony must have achiev”, usually from players that didn’t have the achievement themselves.
Yesterday I tried and yes, it is. Don’t forget you are mage, S tier class, not a shadow priest. I gave up after a while and got lucky to get to HC Oculus after being declined like 30 times. Its really frustrating.

Sounds like a serverwide playerbehaviour issue, because i don’t have this issue on my rogue either.
I can only recommend hosting your own group and find likeminded people. Leave on that «new players welcome» tab on. Let tanks leave if they want, its their own choice.
Hosting my own group doesn’t work. I already said that. If tanks can choose (and they can) between multiple groups they simply won’t be in a group with shadow priest.
I also want to play the game when I am in game (my game time is limited), I don’t want to spend half of my in-game time waiting and praying for a tank to join my group instead of playing the game itself.
Its not fun, just frustrating af.
This is exactly what RDF was for. It allowed you to play the game with whatever class you want, doing quests while being in queue and chill in HC dungeons. This is all gone. Now all we have is cherrypicking and gatekeeping.

Honestly, if my entire server had the mindset to not play with anyone for fun i would not want to play on that server.

Well people are playing for fun. But that fun in 15 yo game is usually provided by min-maxing everything and everywhere. Which includes not playing with sub-optimal classes. Blizzard should have known this, it was clear from the beginning how elitist people will be. Removing RDF just nailed it.
It still sounds like you surround yourself with the wrong type of people to me…
I have no issue with any class when i pick my party. Everyone can get the job done. Even inexperienced / new
