Thats just reality of wotlk classic. It was supposed to be most casual friendly, “bring player not class” version of a game. And look what we have now, exactly opposite, its bring class over player all the time.
If you’re having trouble joining dungeons or heroics, either you’re on firemaw/gehennas (in which case lmao transfer) or you’re trying to join heroics before you’ve either gotten some decent gear from questing or normals.
Also, if you’ve got friends, you shouldn’t really have issues… Or maybe a guild? It ain’t a singleplayer game guys. It’s an mmo.

Except my gear is half HC and second half 76/78 lvl blue gear and sunwell gear.
Its not because of gear, its because of a class.
I can’t play regularly which makes it really hard to play even with guildies. I can’t promise them I will be playing in a certain time (except of raids 2 times a week) so they are usually locked for HCs already.
RDF was exact reason why I loved Wotlk. Because it allowed players like me with irregular schedule to play the game and enjoy dungeons.

No it doesn’t. Feature which connects random people together to do dungeon doesn’t make the game solo. It just removes cherrypicking and gatekeeping so all players can actually participate in content.
Is Counter strike solo game? Is any game with any type of matchmaking a solo game? No its not. You still play together with players as a group, you just don’t pick these players manually.

If you’re on an active server there will be a guild that fits your schedule, or people with alts who could use a run or two.
If RDF would fix your issue, that means there are players capable of running HCs with you that you can group up with.
RDF isn’t a solution.

Oh it definitely is solution since it has been solution for years and years of my WoW “career”. The other thing you said is absolute nonsense, sorry. Noone would leave RDF group because they got shadow priest with them because there is a penalty for leaving. But without RDF they won’t even get group with spriest because they can choose.

On Firemaw healers are in short supply while tanks are a dime a dozen.
My guess is that you are only going for dungeons where you have BiS gear. Most ppl try and avoid classes that compete with them on gear. When me and 3 guildies do Heroics we dont invite ppl that compete on gear for some dungeons. And that is slowing us down because Melee dont want to go to caster gear dungeons and casters dont want to go to Melee gear dungeons.
its ok… but on the other hand why not let the people not mix- maxing, that dont care about it and want to use the RDF. maybe some are there for badgets only …- The problem is that this new tool can be expoited. While RDF is random as it says… The RFD is crossrealm… Why to think there is this megaservers and 10 hrs quee.,. coyse in small populated servers we cant create groups so easy. The cross realm RFD solved that issue back then no need to play in huge mega servers to garanty groups

Legend answer here. Ppl would be less scared to transfer from mega-server when they are guaranteed to have heroic group
RDF also removes the lockouts so you can spam dungeons way faster than was intended.
You want to gear up. You have a raid to attend on Thursday or Friday. You want to form a group with the same mindset, to gear as fast as possible. It’s not being toxic, it’s being efficient. Having greengeared newly dinged questies isn’t a suitable pick for your group.
If you are offended, and feeling like it’s gatekeeping, do some research on how to circumvent the problem. There are SEVERAL ways to boost your gear when you are newly dinged. Stop crying, it’s embarrasing. Make your own groups.

Just because a player doesn’t want you in their group doesn’t mean they are “elitist” or “gatekeeping”. It is THEIR group after all, there is nothing that entitles you to automatically access that group. Maybe they don’t think you are geared, maybe they don’t think your class/spec fits what they want, heck maybe they only want Gnomes in their group. Whether you or I agree with their reason is irrelevant, they are allowed to set whatever limits to their group that they wish.
This is only a temporary thing anyway. Once the raids come out and especially once the server first kills are done those people that want Sunwell geared people for HC 5 mans (dumb IMO but see my comment above) will be raiding and HC 5 mans will be forgotten about by those players leaving them for the rest to use as intended.

tell me how do these gear requirements are even remotely needed for a simple normal dungeon that can be 3-manned by green geared ppl in matter of 15 mins…

No RDF is coming.
The entire Classic WoW line of servers exist because Blizzard told us no and we refused to accept that as an answer. They also said that layering was temporary.
So everyone should take their words with a large crystal of salt.
