Not really. I have no problem finding groups for dungeons and haven’t been kicked from any. And I levelled this character like… weeks ago? So I am in greens.
If someone considers Nexus normal so hard that they require Sunwell gear, it’s their problem and it has nothing to do with me.
Hahahah , then you’d get Mythic+ , look at the Toxicity/Gatekeeping that brought with it…
Stop living under a rock perhaps.
As to this topic : Don’t complain about the requirements others set for their groups, and make your own. If you have too much social anxiety to do this and rather stay an anonymous andy… maybe social games like MMORPG’s are not the type of game for you.
This is just as inappropriate as telling someone with depression “that life is easy, just be happy”. It doesn’t work that way. No one wakes up one day and says "ya know, I’m eeling like today is a good day to be too scared to ask to join a group, probably should make my own. But, what if no one wants to join my group? And so paralyzed with anxiety they stick to questing and fooling aound on alts and rarely get to go on adventures to cool places, meet new people or make friends.
People with anxiety in social interactions want to be part of the world around them. They want to take part and join others, they want to be included, but they struggle to do so.
They are not “lazy” or “leeches” as some would try to suggest. These are the players happy to kill extra bosses, not leaving after a bad pull, never complaining about waiting for mana or typing “gogogo”.
The people struggling to make groups aren’t locked away instances farming pre-bis, offering gdkps or speed running trivialised content. When they play WoW they are the ones populating the open world, they make it come alive.
When they quit playing. Everyone be like “ded gaem??”
I’m talking with experience, as I’m dealing with anxiety myself and it is slowly getting better while I’m working hard on it.
Didn’t even play the game with other people till much much later.
You’re almost saying that these things are Blizzard’s problem and they need to cater to those players, which is entitlement.
I usually make groups like " heroic world tour chilling’s " and this is also taking me out of my comfort zone as I don’t know these people…
A lot of retail players that came to wrath with the GOGOGOGOGOGO FAST M+ mentality made me very anxious.
But if I’m putting in effort helping someone out and they rather AFK or don’t pay attention…yeah, don’t be surprised to get replaced with someone who does.
I never kick people for any other reason, I usually end up making new friends and motivate them to make their own " chill run groups " because I’ve struggled with this in the past as well.
It’s a social game, you have to communicate at some point. But rather than working on their selves people just want to be able to " anonymously que " a system which then gets abused by people for " free carries so they can afk and watch netflix ".
Because that’s what people do, be it on the work floor or in games…
People also make it sound like the ONLY dungeon groups they are finding are " Hard reserve groups or full brutal leveling groups " and give up after looking for 2 minutes because impatience.
I legit only see a handful of those and PLENTY of no-requirement type of runs every day since launch.
(Unless you rolled a Pala or DK … yeah… everyone and their grandmother made one for wrath , you’re going to have an even worse time when the raids go live and people run ‘class runs’ in Vault of Archavon.
I don’t have problems with anxiety. I don’t have problems creating raid groups once or twice a week. But I can’t bother clicking refresh button every second for 20 mins and spam lfg chat daily just to get to some 15 min long dung which might drop some gear improvement. I don’t even bother doing daily normals for rep badges at this point. Normal leveling people are even harder to be convinced to come to the summoning stone.
Jesus. Someone is missing the points completely.
That or simply ignores them.
And on top of that you actually admit to become just the horrible player you’re talking about not likeing.
Because of a different groupbuilding tool. You must either feel really forced to behave well right now or have a really weak personality if you degenerate like that because of a simple change of tool.
Nothing will “solve” the toxicity of players short of Blizzard actually starting to heavily enforce the rules of that social contract we all signed. Nothing else.
But RDF at least ensures everyone getting groups for their desired dungeon.
lmao talk about grasping after straws
I’m sorry. I’m just having a really hard time believing you’re actually playing wotlk right now when you repeat that sort of thing.
It’s very much like you are completely clueless about how things are in classic right now.
Rio and myth+ say “Hi”
Blizz have never cared about people, who want to be included somewhere
This game has always been competitive and it always will be…
It’s not the not getting invited to groups personally that bothers me with not having RDF.
Its the fact with RDF I could queue and actually do content of the openworld game, instead I’m just staring at a scrolling chat / listings for almost 90% of my active playtime for a group and if you do multitask the spot is usually filled pretty quickly on a high pop server.
And its the same with leading a group, you halt doing absolutely anything and just search.
The pvp queue from anywhere was a good change so people didn’t have to be static in game cities, don’t see what harm it does having RDF back.
You’re so very right!
Been trying to say this very thing many times now, but the anti RDF side tends to either just call me a troll or tell me that I’m lying it isn’t like that.

When you get a group of people together on the internet with no sense of community and no repercussions for their actions, social or otherwise, it breeds toxicity.
Essentially, taking the high road doesn’t work because they don’t care how good your argument really is.
Every dungeon in Wrath will be a paid service to get through. Guilds, boosters, carries, GDKP - it’s all an exortion and gold selling/buying under the guise of “community”.
So let’s continue aiming for using FOMO against players who want to experience inclusivity, it’s an extreme driver of boosting after all.
Then when all the casuals have quit, people will realize they have no one to gatekeep anymore.
