Gatekeeping started already.. RDF is needed

I know emotion doesn’t transfer well over text but that was obvious hyperbole.

if you were talking about raids, i would agree, if you dont want to allow casuals on dungeons (which are the easiest part of the game) youre an idiot with mental problems. It is like a company not hiring new staff because the old ones are the ones with experience, wtf?

I’ve played WoW since 2007, all of the classic expansions included, thank you very much.

This.

On the other hand, I guess we should appreciate when people put these ridiculous requirements on their groups. It certainly helps you avoid players that think they need BiS to do content that’s intended for casuals.

Sure.
I mean it’s not like eople who support the new LFG tool (in this thread) haven’t specifically mentioned they enjoy choosing who joins their groups, having control over who they invite. In some instances they even give reasons, such as; not inviting people under-geared, who compete on loot or stacking favourable classes, having the optimal group composition.

This is literal exclusion… Not stating they are wrong, or offering a “right” perspective. It is what it is though.

10’s of thousands. Since RDF was added to Wotlk I have played off and on for over a decade. Didn’t even think it was that many so I went a looked a couple of alts and sure enough some have 2000+ dungeons ran, and some have less than 500. In total I have used RDF to run over 10,000 5man dungeons.

Not sure why you question it but there you go.

As pointed out.

I have said elsewhere that were Wrath HC’s equal in anyway to M+, you could understand players needing to filter the good from the bad. They are not equal. There is literally 0 reason an MMR type system would be needed for content like Wrath HC’s. They are not comparable in anyway.

There was no RIO system in WoD when they were introduced. At the time, to provide a “challenge” to players who wanted more from 5 mans. This is why they provide better loot than HC’s. The fact they provide better loot, and the timed nature means running M 0 is now preferable to running any HC 5 mans. HC 5 mans are not even relevant to modern WoW anymore.

Blizzard care when it affects their share values and their end of year profits. RDF, LFR and other “QoL” were all justified/ sold to the player base on the premise of “inclusivity”.

People are struggling to find groups and being left out of 5 mans. RDF was added.

Our artists spend months designing a raid that only a small % get to experience. LFR was added.

Levelling takes too long, it was made easier, more streamlined. “But, I just want to play with my friends”, So, Realm transfers, faction changes, paid boosts were added. All justified on the premise of inclusivity.

Forgot to reply, anyways.

Yes, I have, and they look like this:

“LFM Heroic Utgarde Pinnacle. Skadi’s Iron Belt, Red Sword of Courage, and mount HR. Warriors and shaman need not apply. Full on DK, druid, hunter. Min ilvl 230. Shards HR to tank. Gear check at fountain.”

What am I looking at here exactly? An dream you had?

And that is my point, this is not reality. It’s not even plausible what you ar writing here.

Have you actually played a heroic dungeon in Classic Wotlk? Yes or no?

Have you actually played a heroic dungeon in Classic Wotlk? Yes or no?

I already answered your question, but since you’re undermining my perception of reality because it doesn’t allign with yours, there’s no further need to confirm this.

Ok well let’s analyze your claim then:

It’s not even possible to have 230ilvl yet.

Why would a tank reserve tank loot? It’s reserved to the tank by default.

No one say HR for a mount. You call things HR in raids to distinguish it from SR/Soft reserve. If you reserve a mount in a dungeon you just say so. Mount reservred or ressed, res etc. So I doubt that is real. People reserve mounts now and then but not like that.

Not even plausible. Warriors in bad gear perhaps, but shamans? This is not reality.

What does that even mean, full? What? Sure if it’s a world tour you want to have a mix of the classes/armor, but in a single UP hc run? lol

If you have actually seen this in chat it was a joke. It’s not even possible let along plausible.

It’s definitely possible to check people’s gear, at a fountain or anywhere else.

Is it possible to gearcheck players for 230ilvl right now? That is the claim. Common now. If this was posited in chat it was OBVIOLSY a joke. It’s not even possible to reach 230ilvl yet.

It’s obviously just a random number

Ok but this is not a matter of perception.

We can not obtain gear to reach ilvl 230 yet. You do understand that, right?

So if this post was actually made in chat on your server it was obviously a joke.

yes true story lol hahahah

It was an exaggeration to get my point across

Ah, someone gets it at least

What is your point exactly?

blizzard: people stopped being social so lets put in RDF
also blizzard: KEKW this is wow classic, u can all be social again
