Gay night elf marriage is now part of lore SPOILERS

Stop being one then cupcake? Do you need a safe space so you don’t get cancelled and get your delicate feelings hurt?

Because children don’t actually care about that stuff, same as racism. Put little kids together, they’ll play just fine, little kids don’t care if two daddies or two mommies turn up to school to pick up one of their friends.

It’s learned behaviour. And that means, that a grown up has to pervert a child’s mind, to think in a way the child does not think. That sound healthy to you?

Why not just let them exist in a state of innocence where skin colour and sexuality don’t matter? Why would you purposefully teach a child to hate other people?

Bit Weird, don’t you think? I mean, it is certainly immoral.

Stop being so delicate, this is the 21st century.

Oh OK, you’re one of -those- type of people. Yeah, you are thankfully, not in accord with adult society.

Oh WoW! Did someone give me a present all wrapped up for me to tear open?

Lets go with historical facts here. Some of which are a bit icky, but eh. Young Spartiates (So the warrior class) were sent to the agoge (Warrior school) at age 12. It was actually frowned upon if an older Spartiate, a full warrior, did not take them as a lover, and help them develop into adulthood. I’m not saying that is cool, at all, but that is a historical fact. This applied to both males and females, whilst females were not supposed to fight in the armies, they were also uh, bottom stuff was going on as standard from age 12, however it was taboo for uhh, other antics until they were married, that was for child bearing.

In no way am I endorsing such activities in our modern age, but at the time, that was all acceptable. The Film ‘300’ was not an entirely accurate representation of events. A young Spartiate lad was not sent off to kill a wolf or some other such animal, they were actually sent off, unarmed to kill a Helot/Helot family. The Helot’s were the subservient caste in Spartan society, who were not full Spartans, but effectively Servants (The Spartans scorned the word ‘Slaves’ unlike the Athenians) So basically a 14-16 year old boy was sent out on their own, to murder a grown man/and or their family, to proof their manliness.

This applied to everyone, yes, even the Spartan Kings, of which they had two at a time.

They were also expected to take a wife, and sire sons. So really, the Spartans weren’t so much ‘gay’ as were expected by societal laws and traditions to be Bisexual.

Gerard Butler in ‘300’ whilst his acting was fine, was nothing like King Leonidas in real life history, whose remains have been found and famously interred. He had very long hair, and he most certainly would not have had a beard, which the Spartans regarded as a sign of ‘effeminacy’ that was the province of Athenians. For some reason, and colossal attitude of hypocrisy, the Spartans regarded the elegantly oiled beards of the Athenians as the sign of a “Boy Lover” Which was ironic, given that such would have been their upbringing since 12. As such, they never grew beards, and were almost unique for doing so at the time. They did however grow long flowing locks of hair, which they would with fondness and loving attention braid and oil for each other before battle.

Also, Just saying that King Leonidas’ remains have been identified as being in his sixties when he died at Thermopylae, which frankly makes him sound even more like an absolute combat beast, and an utter legend.

This is all just historical fact. Oh, Spartan women had short hair, that was the societally proper thing to do.

So going on from this, Why do you think they were “Skinny Sissy guys fighting in battles”?

They weren’t. They were incredibly hardened, terrifying warriors, very muscular and not afraid of showing it off, in fact were very proud of doing so, sometimes basically just going into battle with their sandals and greaves, cloak, helm, hoplon, sword and spear, and letting the rest of it all just kind of…you know, do it’s thing. Which sometimes did terrify enemies.

Who are these skinny sissy guys you are thinking of?

There sort of famously really has been, as anyone with an education would know, I mean wasn’t there a U.S Squaddie who was quoted as saying “When I was in the army they gave me a medal for killing two men, and a discharge for loving one”?

In fact don’t answer that. It was a rhetorical question. I am correct.

Everyone needs a hobby…

Try almost five decades. Lets go with that.

Actually for a long period of time that was precisely why soldiers went to war, not the huge salary, but because a general yelled at them. Actually probably because their -Sergeant- yelled at them.

Like what?

I mean as a straight bloke, I am genuinely interested, what are these unique values we are supposed to have, that gay people don’t?

I grew up in a time that was pretty terrifying actually, where War was not a possibility, but a probability, The real ‘snowflakes’ (Which is a ridiculous term) are those who try to make themselves sound so aggressive, so bad-donkey, whilst talking to people who grew up at a time where if they had? They would run howling home to their mothers.

Ridiculous.

They have been fighting against some of the laws and norms certain societies have used to mercilessly murder others.

So yes their actions have contributed to everyone being able to live safer lives.

Do you think he just wants a big muscular guy (better if also black) to hug him tight and tell him “i love you”?

He obviously lacks hugs quite severly.

Last time I checked neither did pumping anyone from any angle. You about to rail against that too? Or try and make some non argument about how “providing the soldiers of tomorrow” is some noble idea in the head of every red blooded male each time they do so with a Johnny wrapper?

Can it be counted as hate speech

I’m not aware about Ardenwald as covenant but aren’t that just souls dressed as animals. Can you call it pansexual this way?

Alan Turing for one says ‘Hi’.

But then you probably don’t know who that is. Which if you use a computer, as you do, is pretty hilarious.

Nah, it’s just a regular pair of gay aliens from Fyzandi planet, who happened to be married, their souls took that shape, and one of them was the First ever Night Warrior, the other, their husband tried to help them survive the damaging process of being the Night Warrior.

So actually whilst there is nothing wrong with the idea that Gay Night Elf marriage being part of lore, it is absolutely factually incorrect, as it was instead two Aliens not from Azeroth. Just so happens that Elune is not -just- worshipped on Azeroth, and not -just- by Kaldorei.

I get that it’s a couple from another planet. I was just confused that someone called them pansexual.

I dont think they were saying the characters are pan, but just a response to that guy that he is homophobic and then a mention that they themselves are LGBTQ+(pan in this case) and proud of it.

Ah yeah, pretty much what Vixi said, I think the two characters in question aren’t Pan, or may have been, but at the time we meet them, long after both of them are dead they’re just kind of y’know, regular gay vanilla…

But yes, I see your confusion there, get what you mean.

Well I think people care more about representation than the soul support of the company.

Here lad take this 100 bucks and say bunch of nonsense about stuff we want to advertise and then you are good to go to your wife.

That list included stuff like race couple if decades ago.
And that phenomena is called awareness or lack of it. The more you know the less black and white world seems.

Well daim that opened my eyes.

Rofl this post is totally from another realm.

So many loaded assumptions I kinda gave up counting. Pretty much a “this will convince you if you already agree, but not if you don’t” which is questionable strategy to arguing.
