i constantly go back and forth with deeper. right now i’m playing triple potency with nightstalker and tricks, my mage is experimenting with DC and we’re running dark in almost every matchup so we have so much damage that the extra stun duration and more overall dmg feels a bit less useful than the flexibility and explosiveness of mfd. the extra damage from it is cool i guess but it’s just 5% and you don’t really get to benefit from the 6th point nearly as much as other covenants. like the big pump from deeper comes from that a 6 point evis is so much bigger than a 5 point without deeper, but this doesn’t really apply to kyrian in the same way.
deeper feels more natural for sure. it’s also what i’m used to from pve. the spec plays more naturally with a 6 point cap. you can easily play with either though. same with NS and focus (or subterfuge i guess if you want), not to mention how our covenants feel pretty open. kinda cool actually.
