Personally, I like that pve and pvp gear are compatible. If someone plays 5 hours, and likes both pve and pvp, i don’t see why he should end with subpar gear when compared to a person that dedicates the same time to either pve or pvp.
The real problem right now is that pvp gear is reserved to a small elite, while you can get more than decent pve gear with just a 40 min run to a +10 mythic dungeon once every week, which ensures you 410 gear once a week, and 425 azerite gear once every 2 or 3 weeks. Almost anybody can do this. Even if they can’t get a +10, they will still get residue and items over 390.
Getting similar gear from pvp requires you being on top ratings only a small minority of players can achieve. And that is absurd, as either locks average players in an even lower ranking or forces them to pve.
You’re retarded yawn isn’t because of boredom I’m telling you, it means that your brain (I’m sure you don’t have such thing) has low oxygen supplie and compensates through this so you can focus on things.
This sentence showed how stupid you are.
Pvp mode should be scale like awc , wouldn’t it be stupid to see 390 player with bad gear only because this dude got no luck to get his bis pieces in pve since 3month farming ? while the other got full 420 bis cause they got maybe PL and or extremely lucky ?
Aswell it’s only an exemple but let’s be honest the answer is yes it would be .
i play for months, only pvp and i m still 385 ilvl. PVE heros destroy me in seconds … although they have devoted the same amount of time in the game like me, but instead they did it in pve.
Blizzard wants to be like this. Steady and slowly PVP to become a secondary thing for PVE heros… to play pvp too …
This is just ridiculous. If you’re over 1400 rating you get 400 ilvl in your weekly pvp chest.
Even myself who started playing arena just last season managed to get over 1400 rating.
For 400 ilvl gear in pve you have to do like mythic +10 dungeons or heroic raiding, how is this so much easier than getting 1400 rating in arena?
I get 385 ilvl. Playing with randoms in arena, i alternate from 1350 to 1500. Should be at the end of week above 1400 to get the 400 ilvl? or it s enough just one time to get above 1400?
My bad it seems to be 1600 to get 400 ilvl. You need to be 1600 and win at least one game in that bracket every week plus capping conquest.
And if you are caught up with all the previous weeks, as of this week the weekly cap quest thingie rewards ilvl 400 aswell.
aaa for me is very difficult to get above 1600. I lose usually from 2 kind of teams… People who outplay me and pve people who hit like truck…and the second category is about 75%. This is happening when i play with my heal-toons too. I can see all their mistakes, they are sometimes so bad like for example the resto druid doesnt even bother to shapeshift when i cast hex or they eat all the jukes … but they manage to win …
I hadn’t even tried pvp before WoD, that’s when I first started doing BGs. And the gearing system back then I think was pretty solid. However bad Ashran was, you could go in there for a couple of hours and come out with full honor gear.
And from there you could start working on your conquest gear, and being able to choose from a number same ilvl pieces but with different stats.
But apparently blizzard at this point think it’s better that they pick the order that we get our gear, which is of course stupid to say the least.
But still, to claim that it’s super easy for “PvE players” to get superior gear and just jump into arena and smash dedicated PvP players simply because of gear is not true.
Because if you indeed are a dedicated good pvp player, you should have a high enough rating to obtain the same gear as a heroic raider or a mythic+ enthusiast.
Prove me wrong.
I m a pvp player, but i m not a good one. SO, i dont say that pve players find gear easy either. I m saying they find it easier than pvp people and the proof is that most PVE people in arena in low brackets like me have pve gear above 400 ilvl.
Also in the years 2007-2014 i was able to have decent gear by playing only pvp and today this is not the case.
Also, PVE is easier than PVP. To become a good pvp player you must play for years. However the pve material is changing with almost every patch and every expansion. So to become a good pve player you need only 1-2 weeks to learn the tactics. Especially today that the classes are so pruned and they have no depth as in the past, knowing the tactics thingy is a must, but it s a very little must… in comparison with the months and years you need to become good pvper…
Yeah I corrected myself in the next post, 400 is from chest if 1600 rating yes?
You must also consider that a M+10 takes waaay longer to complete than an arena match, even if it goes into deep dampening. And you must have a team of 5 players instead of 2 or 3.
And it’s not like you’re gonna get loot at the end of every dungeon or boss fight.
I’ve gone 3 raid resets without recieving any loot or getting identical pieces that I already had, or getting downgrades.
If you’re 2400 you get 415, that’s the same as mythic raiding yes?
I stand by my opinion that it’s not unfair.
Would you like to see combatants (like myself) get 415 ilvl gear? That would be stupid. Just as stupid as the warfront quest that rewards 400 ilvl.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, if a M+10 is such a cakewalk just hop in and do one every week and get your free loot.
It’s an mmo, it’s not CSGO. If you wanna optimize your character you may have to dip your toes into something that may not be your favourite content but that could give you the edge you need to get where you wanna go.
And the same applies to PvE oriented players. If you’re unlucky you can go weeks without a good weapon drop for example, so your options are to keep grinding those dungeons or raid bosses, OR cap your conquest in PvP content to get that weapon.
A single m10+, which can be done very easily by almost every player with the correct gear, ensures you a 410 item, and a very high chance of getting 2 400 items.
This is true but useless information. Yeah, a mythic takes longer than an arena, but the rewards are extremely better.
Combatants should get the same gear, just slower. As it always happened. I am extremely bad, both at pve and pvp, but in pve I can get top gear easily, while in pvp, which is what i like, i can’t.
Again, if it’s so easy, do it. I don’t see the problem here.
Would it be fair if you got loot from a 2 minute arena game equal in ilvl to loot from a 30 minute dungeon run?
With that logic your average lfr-hero should get mythic raid loot aswell. In that case, whats the point in having different difficulty in the content?
What’s the reason to have an arena ladder if everyone gets the same stuff out of it? Just delete rated arena and let everyone just play skirms.
How is this false? I played for 6 weeks with a 310 weapon because I couldn’t for the life of me get a drop. And had I just capped my conquest the first week I would have had a 340 weapon.
Again, how is this false?
