Gear on boosted characters

Hi,

Anyone else noticed the gear on boosted characters is just aweful? Its barely enough to get through basic 60 content.

The gear is on par with Mauradon, while you’re stepping into a world where everybody is full T2/3. By no means should anyone that boosted be close to somebody who has worked hard to get through all the content, but this hardly gear suitable for killing mobs in Hellfire Peninsula. Its impossible to get a group for anything, to raid or join a pre-made.

The only chance we had to prepare for TBC was to farm Honor gear which you nerfed by over 90% .

oh no such a shame maybe retail suits you better :innocent:

You have like 2 weeks to gear up a bit for TBC?
Don’t really see the issue.

The gear looks terrible, this boosted warrior looked like a giant pillow. I think it’s to make them stand out more and make them easier targets to gank.

Which class?

why not give boosted characters all existing vanilla items from a vendor for 1c each, they are obsolete in tbc anyways!
tbc hype, tbc hype!

They didnt nerf honor, the original values at pre-patch start was not the correct one. So they fixed it.
Stop crying and go do some quests to get some gear. You already payed to skip the majority of the game, there’s no reason you should be giving a huge middle finger to anyone who put effort into classic, by getting good gear on top.
You are not suppose to be equal to anyone who played classic, you get the bare minimum to make it work and to skip the effort everyone else has put in to their characters.

Interesting, every boosted char on Beta was able to quest and get Hellfire Gear just fine.

That being said: at a slower rate than a decked 60, but still more than able.

I guess he’s playing a mage and is new to it.

The communal gear is pretty good compared with other level 58 gear. Note that 58, not 60.
