What’s the most reliable and fastest way to gear a fresh 70

Honor gear, crafted gear, and bloody token gear with trophies. Spam conquest-awarding activities and start replacing pieces gradually.

- Buy PvP Creafted Greens from Auction House.
- Farm Bloody Tokens from completing PvP World quests(45-55 Bloody Tokens per PvP WQ), looting air drops, and killing people. Sometimes one of the 3 PvP worlds quests that spawn every day for 24 hours, will give you either a substantial amount of Bloody Tokens 450-700 or a Blue World PvP Piece), you can also upgrade the Blue World PvP Piece to PvP Item Level 447 using Trophy of Strife which you can acquire from completing the Weekly Quest Spark of Life (it’s limited to one zone per week).
- Farm honor points in Battlegrounds and buy Blue PvP gear from PvP Vendor in Valdrakken.
- Crafting Orders, get 2 PvP item level 450 crated with the stats of your choice and that have special passive effects on them, using the Work Order system, you will need to gather the components before placing the orders though, or give out a substantial amount of gold in commission while placing the order to cover the cost of the materials. There are two main items required for the crafting of the PvP item and they cannot be bought from other players or the Auction House, these items are the Spark of Shadowflame and the Trophy of Conquest(comes in lesser, n/a base form, greater) are account-bind, meaning you have to farm these before you are able to place the Work Order. I recommend 'Google’ing this for more details.

- You will get your first two Trophy of Conquest, from a quest linked to a quest item that drops from the Victorious Contender’s Strongbox(random instanced PvP daily box), the first time you play your character in 10.1; You will receive a Lesser Trophy of Conquest and a Greater Trophy of Conquest from turning in the quest. You can buy more Trophy of Conquest from the Conquest vendor if you need more.
- Spark of Shadowflame drops from Heroic/Mythic difficulty raids, M+16 or higher(I think) and Weekly PvP Quest Chests(it drops in splinters which you will need to combine, 2 splinters into 1 spark).
Side Note: I usually do some battlegrounds before hitting level 70, just so that I can buy either a complete set of honor gear or the essential pieces such as the weapons and trinkets if I am not able to farm enough honor before hitting level 70.

I’ll try to get honor gear and give the Tokens a go. I’ve never bothered with Bloody Tokens all of DF lolol

I just craft my 2 pieces of embellished gear and farm full honor after buying full green obsidian from AH. Then you’re ready to farm arenas for conquest.

Do you not need sparks + stuff for this though? 
You get one spark instantly from quest line then you get more for doing weeklys every reset. You get 2 free trophies from pvp content too. (I didn’t mean that you can craft both items the second you ding 70 on a completely fresh character )
yeee I don’t have the patience for that
From my PoV in a week I’d be able to at least get full honor gear and potentially start farming some conquest
I’m the kind of guy that doesn’t care too much for tanking in SoloShuffle while I gear

I’ve completed the Z.caverns Quest line campaign on 2 chars. Do you always have to re-do it for the sparks?
I know it doesn’t take ages , just mildly annoying
It’s already the easiest it has ever been gearing up an alt. Any easier would probably mean getting them in the mail as soon as you hit 70 
during Forbidden Reach, For me It droped many gears that were mail

It’s bad enough I have to sit in queues for an average of 30minutes, to have people leave at the smallest thing happening they dislike in game , or just troll because everyone is fed up at the moment
I mean just uncap conquest already and allow honor to be transferred between chars and increase the honor cap

If you look at other games, it’s incredibly fast and easy to just - queue up → play → have fun → competitively climb
What I’m really trying to say is, if there is a time commitment to getting decent gear to be on somewhat of an even playing field, queue times need to be close to instant as far as I’m concerned. This isn’t the case so the fact that it takes time to gear, to then waste time to queue, is a HUGE issue that should really be addressed
its seriously never been easier to gear up. since i got banned on hunt 3 days ago i now have 3 set piece already with conq weapons and 1 450 crafted item
buy pvp gear from ah, farm bg / epic / special bg for bonus and get full honor gear
malicia one time quest will give you 2 items to craft 450 pvp gear
complete weekly sparks of life quest and then do world pvp quest which drops an expensive gear like legs which you will upgrade with sparks
and then just spam 2s for conquest cap

I fully agree with the conquest and honor part for sure. I don’t have any problems with the time spent needed for sparks tho.
Solo shuffle can go fk itself so I don’t care whether that goes away or not tbh

You should have 3 charges in your catalyst atm.
exactly how i told you above… its completely possible and i have 0 negative feedback about gearing.
im pvp player only and this expansion is imo the best when it comes to gearing. i no longer even care about vault, if i get a good drop cool, if i dont, idc. I remember being miserable in shadowlands from vault

for sparks - sparks quests are annoying and i dont like them that much, but…just join a group of 5 ppl and tag enemies and run away … you dont have to zerg there and get farmed
for conquest - start 2s group and just find someone who doesnt care about win/loss… fastest way to gear…60 conq per win in 2s
and dont forget you can turn conq gear / upgraded wpvp gear to set piece in catalyst

You just gotta think , and I’m not trying to be a massive wind bag whinging and whining but
Loads of other games just enable you to -play-
WoW isn’t like this and I just wish there were some improvements mid season

Got so many chars I wanna gear , which is another reason behind my frustration

It got harder to get gears from raiding, even in LFR
I saw a warrior and death knight rolled on the cloth and leather armors for disenchant in LFR and normal
