Gearing needs to go back to BFA

Does anyone else feel as if gearing has lost its sense of achievement one of the greatest things about this game was progressing a character and becoming more powerful with hard work and effort that seems to have been lost in recent expansions anyone else agree ?

I don’t want BfA gearing attached to neck ranks and no tier.

No, i don’t agree, i presume that with “Hard work and effort” you mean “Raid or GTFO!” (That’s usually what it means, anyway), and i do not want a return to that, and considering Blizz are adding Delves and have added the catalyst, i think it’s safe to say Blizz aren’t too keen on that, either.

BfA was horrible for gearing. RNG layered on top of RNG with a stupid mechanic that barely made sense.

If you want gearing “to go back”, go back to getting blue gear from dungeons and combine it with the item upgrades to make it into epics.
Make epic gear truly epic again.

I liked the idea of corruptions, wouldnt mind seeing something like that back. But will pass on neck and/or azerite pieces.

Not really fussed about the rng or the tears that come with it.

What from BFA gearing is it you want back?

Yeah definitley not artifact power or anything like that but i meen in the sense of not having gear handed to you on a plate kinda thing that is how it has felt for me this expansion.

Gearing in this game just does not feel the same anymore i dont know what has changed since bfa but getting a character to a high item level back then you could feel the power from making an effort

Gearing from M plus is in a nice place, gearing from raids under GL, nightmare.

Yeah i have took a break for a while now i was mainly playing pvp but im gonna come back and focus on some mythic + The rust piles up fast when you take a long break from this game haha

buying your best in slot armour from a vendor was hardly an achivement.

And when could you do that in BFA? did i miss something from that expansion?

Nope, I do not agree.

I enjoy gearing now a lot more than I did in BfA and Shadowlands (because now, as a predominantly world content player, I can actually get somewhere with my gear).

What does this even mean, really?

There is factually no difference ‘in power’ if you earn a piece of ilvl 200 gear through raiding, through pvp, through dungeoneering or if you get it in the mail. It’s ilvl 200 gear; it’s the same power.

You must have as you could get currency from m+ to buy your 3 best in slot azerite pieces and also a corruption vendor.

BFA gearing was the best in the game( not you azerite armor that was sh53224t)
It was simple and obvious.

Basic gear Quest
Then Dungeons( N/H)+ LFR
Then normal.
Then M+
Then heroic
Then Mythic.

It was perfect

If that’s how you enjoy playing, yes.

For me it was far from perfect. I was done very fast with what I could get, doing what I liked doing, and then I got bored.

The only thing i dislike is the upgrade system…

You take an item… ok let’s spend few weeks to upgrade it… Oh look the same item with speed/leech or avoidance… it’s an upgrade… Oh look it has socket…

Currently i got overburned not by the item but the need to always upgrade them…

I killed the boss i got the item but still need to spend a large amount of wait time each season to upgrade those item that at 1st day of each season become worthless.

At the end WoW now is an non ending circle with zero development .

I agree, in bfa I was excited gearing my character, and every day I could go in to do some daily/islands and level my neck. Now gearing is just… boring. I don’t like the whole flightstone upgrade system.

Or ding max level and go right to m+ for best gear in game like many did.

And there is the issue
M+ has the best gear. Raids should have the best gear
M+ should cap just below heroic raids.

Blizzard is killing the best part about this game for quick and boring gameplay
