Man, these last couple weeks have been a bit stressful. I'm ready for the weekend, were it not that I'll probably have to spend a lot of this weekend writing two essays on religion. As far as university assignments go that's tolerable though.
On more cheerful news. Once I get paid I'm buying tickets to see former Turbonegro singer Hank von Hell and finally ordering The Age of Quarrel by Cro-Mags on vinyl.

Dream diary chapter 47: only vaugely about assassins.
As with many of my dreams in this list, we find ourselves in a classic movie premise. A cluster of youths of stereotypical disposition and varying attractiveness have gone on a trip using the yacht of one of the group's wealthy dad. Partying as you do, they drunkenly do all the typical tropes with the boat drifting because whoever was supposed to pilot it decided to party. The boat naturally runs aground on a distant island populated by what the dream calls Raptors.
The Raptors, in a typical Jurassic Park sense, quickly start hunting the idiot teens while subverting expectation as the good and decent potential protagonists die quickly. Fleeing to the boat, the gang hastily escapes onto the waves, ignorant of the fact that five Raptors snuck aboard. These clever devils stalk and kill the crew one by one similar to the first Alien movie but a few victims manage to gain mutual kills by fighting or simply falling off the side of the yacht.
By dawn, two people remain on board by virtue of being the dumbest and most obnoxious; the two stereotypes of thick jock and pretty class queen were too busy celebrating survival to even notice how the rest of their friends were killed. Meanwhile, the lone remaining Raptor demonstrates surprising intelligence by having the boat run full speed to the shore while it hoots with frustration in a surprisingly sympathetic scene as it stryggles to understand that its pack has died and that it's alone in the hunt.
The yacht runs full speed onto the shore, skipping twice on the sand before coming to rest, the turbulence finally activating the two survivors and they discover the carnage. Fleeing to their school that's conveniently nearby, the Raptor follows and the climax of the event has the class queen pounced on while thick jock hides with the lower grade students in a tense stealth scene, the Raptor tracking them while police are expected to arrive fashionably late to shoot the beast.

Man, the daggers are coming out for Baine on the Story forums, after the spoilers of the next raid's aftermath. I think people are unfairly calling him basically a super pacifist -_-

Instead of baine always grunting and stomping his hooves all the time or giving up. he should do something! anything constructive. in terms of what specifically I don't know, but don't make him look like a coward.
He should throw Sylvanas onto the burning pyre of Teldrassil.

Yeah, well, I haven't roleplayed with any of you guys, basically. But I still happen to think a roleplaying community that practices positivity and openness to a variety of people, opinions, interpretations and styles is a much stronger one.
