Get rid of Runes

Wouldn’t have come back after 4 years without rune skills.
they should just stop with the “discovery top secret but untested” part.
Since 2010, there has been no secret when it comes to the Internet
Start testing skills and things beforehand instead releasing early alpha stuff

I agree on this one. The better concept for me was good old glyphs. 3 majors, 3 minors. Use the 6 you want.it gives more combo possibilities and overall diversity.

There was some balance, they had the triangle classes balanced to counter the other kinda thing, atm it’s just going haywire

Alot people knows better than the developers, you can become a developer in no time, just take the web course and you good to go.
The real developers are the one that coding everything and not the dude that tell them what to code

Managga is right, they should stop with the discovery part of the game and make proper PTR to test the skills, this crazy nerfs are just sucks to the players.
They can always hide how to get the Runes but the skills themselves must be tested.

How about making interesting runes for everybody instead because some classes have really interesting and fun runes while others get absolute crap.

Personally i want them to go crazy with runes and create stuff that is new and really experiment with stuff.

Amen to that. Everyone just runs the meta build for their spec. So runes does enhance the experience but its like default “setting”

If anyone had the same runes, i think it would turn out to a classless game

I am not saying make everyone have same runes what i ment was i want more crazy runes and way less runes that just give spells that we have already have. I want more innovation and experiments with more crazier stuff.

You say that it is a victory for the development team that they have done anything, okay. It is good they have experimented. However, the direction they have went on this is in my opinion, not very good. It is probably safe to say, that it has been controversial at best amongst the playerbase. You need only glance at the available statistics and the front of page the US/EU forums to see that there are many problems. Because something is experimental doesn’t mean problems do not exist. This doesn’t make sense.

You say I will “never be happy”. If they do a relationship classic +, after Season of Discovery, then I hope they go with my “imaginary world” because it is more in line with what people truly desire from a classic + game mode.

It is good that you enjoy the game, but your adopted position of “if you don’t like it, f off” is the same position taken by fanboys in 2008-10 that saw the gamew player base collapse, and the same position that will see the Season of Discovery be a niche realm with a tiny playerbase by the time the cap is level 60 if things continue as is.

You need to recognize that constructive criticism is more helpful than blind loyalty.

I love the abilities from runes, but the actual implementation is horrible.

It stinks of retail and is super awkward when your abilities and keybinds don’t make sense after swapping during trash and between different bosses.

Priest example;
Void plague which is our biggest dot, assigned to an important and easy to reach keybind, swaps places with a passive.

Homunculi, targeted “pets” shares slots with another passive that makes sw:p hit 3 targets.

Shadow word:death (single target execute ability) shares slots with mind sear which is our AoE ability.

I don’t know about you guys, and this is obviously all very individual, but this completely messes up the logic of my keybinds.

Why didn’t you say from the start that you’re sad you’re not one shotting people in PVP anymore and stop this fake balancing act? LOL

I don’t want to one shot people and i dont want anyone to one shot people thats why there are PTR for that to see befor time where the problems are.

I’m against nerfing after patch release because players tasted the power and liked it but blizzard taking it away from them Rightfully but still painful to the player.

To avoid this massive nerfs a Beta test must be runned by the company or at least big pull of QA testers. Unfortunately we are the beta testers.

show me hard numbers that the mayority of SoD players isnt enjoying it and i would be more inclined to see your side of the story but as you put your self everyone should be able to put in constructive feedback, this includes positive feedback.

i for one enjoy SoD and would rather see them make more runes then get rid of them all together. its the lack of choice that bothers me then that one class out preforms another class for a couple weeks, this only matters to people who will try and min max or who are engaged in pvp. if you are a casual player its nice and refreshing to for once not see brown bois domonate the dps charts.

phases have been said to last between 6 to 8 weeks, show me anywhere in any game where you get more then 1 raid in that period of time.
if you rush to any game youll find yourself bored with it soon.

if you want classic + with more then 1 raid per phase that would require a hell of a lot more work then they dedicate towards this project.
labor aint cheap and lets face it WoW doesnt make them much money.

sure pvp can be a mess with the new rune skills but lets face it it was already a mess to begin with and they have already nerfed some skills like starsurge and shadow word: death to deal less damage.

putting SoD on a ptr completely defeats the perpose of what it is suposed to be.
and sorry to say but the excuse of “everything has been known in every game for a long time” is the thing they are trying to get around.
datamining is a thing yes but it ruins the wonder of discovery.

We could have less runes and balance them.
Mutilate should cost no less than 50 energy and keep the gcd on shadowstep, here I fixed it, no need to wait for a month, now people with other mains should do the same.
but blizzard decided to do what ever the dirge this is.

SoD is the most fun I’ve had with wow since BC. Sure, some things are unbalanced, but this is also the devs testing out cool ideas, and sometimes cool ideas don’t work perfectly to everyone’s wants
