So how much will it cost ? 300K like on retail ? 300K on retail is nothing … having 300K on classic you will never run out of gold (under normal circumstances) so, will it be balanced for the difference ? This will be fun …

I dont think the introduction of classic token will change much in the game, but it it proves the game is beyond saving. RMT culture with gdkps was definitely not part of the game back in the day or helps the “spirit of classic”. While RMT culture was illegal until now, starting today, its officially allowed and there is no hope left.

Which one did they add? The only ones I can remember which whas definataly not in Classic is being able to restore delated characters and change the way characters are rowed.
Blizzard’s greed really shouldn’t surprise me by now. Instead of tackling the rampant botting, rmt, gdkp you give us wow token that no one asked for.

Wow token is and always has been priced due to supply and demand
And there we go, the reason I wasn’t excited for the classic wow announcement a few years back. A few years later and accomplishments become diluted by the impending monetisation token.
I enjoy retail at the moment though, and I have my fingers crossed for some sort of non-permadead HC server that has no auction house and trading to be done only through profession crafting orders. Then gear and gold would feel meaningful again.
Problem is, the community proofed already that they are not the same.
Also it whas actually since start allowed to boost people. The only reason GDKP where not so prominent with WotLK whas because it whas a different culture where buying gold whas not so cultural accepted. Now with Retail this culture whas changed and even encouraged to accept gold buying and boosting.
Now with the changed it culture it whas only question of time till people started GDKP runs and when they start buying gold.
Blizzard would have needed to start soon and hard against Boosting and Gold Buying if they would have wanted to change this culture but you saw at Retail in how unwilling they are actually against this.
So I am actually surprised they waited this long till they introduced the token.
so happy, now i dont have to be on retail to continue playing wow

So I canceled my sub as I can just buy my game time with gold (which I did, got a token from AH earlier). A decent single gdkp cut will be enough to cover a month’s playing time.
Blizzard, you degens realize that I’ll be playing for free now, yes?

Can’t moderate the game from bots, gold sellers and GDKPs and throw the towel in and give up. Look at Aggrend’s tweet about this “Token is a proven tool to mitigate it” to stop RMT so instead of actively moderating the game they just join in on RMT ? token didn’t stop this in retail It won’t stop it here, every time you run a GDKP you’re giving blizzard money. Disgusting the way you have treated classic from Nostalrius to this…

Well officially one player buying wow token for RMT from Blizzard and then exchanges gold with another player. However if Blizzard are regulating supply of gold or tokens artificially (since we do not see who is buyer or seller of token/gold in the transaction) then with low token supply they are doing what you are saying and taking gold from the economy, but with a low gold supply the opposite happens they are printing gold out of thin air.
what a surprise the day that they start to sell the token , all bots from Tempes Keep and Black Temple are gone…

Adding the token is in fact a way to reduce bots and goldsellers. Adding a legal way to purchase gold will decrease drastically the price at which goldsellers with bots are selling it for. Therefore it might not become profitable for many of them. You like it or not - it IS actually a way to fight the bots. On top of that, they can create a gold sink for all the currency in the game atm. which is highly inflated because of the GDKPs, so they can basically control the in game currency that way. So this was actually a 10/10 move and pretty smart play from blizzard
