The reduced tank-armor doesn’t feel like it matters all too much?
I mean, often enough it’s the DPS taking the big hits, or the tank via a not-interrupted interruptible magical damage cast.

you do realise that if you had lfg for m+ you woudl sit in que infinetly because no sane tank or healer woudl ever sign that that do you ?
and yeah - low keys are nightmare / dead
tell your friend to level alts and enjoy playing dvelves. and try again when he hits 619
I think it’s better to have a passive afk queue for 10-30 minutes max than people staring 1 hour at a LFG interface to apply for groups. It’s not gonna take longer than 10-30 minutes in an automated system, because a big reason for the long LFG queues is not just shortage of tanks, but also the cherrypicking behaviour of players. Also, even if making your own group is a “solution”, for every group 1 dps player makes, there are gonna be 2 dps players, who are applying forever and have a terrible experience with the game. If everyone makes their own group, then there won’t be an optimal ratio between supply and demand for tanks. It probably should be automated.
cant they add solo shuffle to m+ instead.
I loved that for pvp blitz that was fun.
people just want to play m+ not LFG afk watch youtube.
honestly i think that would make people understand tatics more if they fail a few dungeons then get better at their play style instead of this decline train blizzard keept going since legion.
Oh yeah of course, some random interrupt gets missed and your tank goes poof.
In terms of the armor nerf I put, I meant that as a tank it’s genuinely noticeable from previous season 1s, as usual this is season 1 of a new expansion with new hero talents and a lot of changes, it will even out eventually, it always does.
Only melee that currently pumps is ret pally, would not invite any other melee dps to my m+ group.
Well Frost Dk is actuali and Op top mele meta.
Ret is good but mostly cos its super popular and super easy, but the higher keye you go Enh and Rogue are actualy better then Rret
But yea on 2-10 Ret is best mainly cos you have to be realy bad at this game if you cant play Ret in this expansion
exactly, and frost DK . But there is nobody from Blizzard to figure this out
Play with guildies or get a network of friends that play healer or tank. Otherwise reroll to tank/healer
You know there is a reason for this right ?
Two pop into my mind right away :
(A) You want to choose your comp. A CR, a BL are the first choices. But then comes other buffs that synergyze with eachother…
(B) You dont want to waste 40 minutes of your time. You want to do a dungeon, but have maximum chances of actually completing it. You dont want “chums” in your group.
That is just 2. But I can give you more if you wanna…
People complaining about that 1 dude that is undergeared/bad that ruins the game sais otherwise… They should not.
Whilst I don’t necessarily agree with all the OP’s comments I think the issue he is highlighting is that players who are not even that good are demanding 2.4k IO players for +6 keys.
I understand people don’t want to risk it and waste time but at the same time, if someone has timed a +6 (++) and the key you have is +6 then they have clearly demonstrated they can time a +6.
There have been plenty of times where I have taken a 1.6k IO player who has performed way better, following mechanics correctly, interupting when possible, using utility etc.
I have had instances of 2.4k players dying on basic mechanics and have 1-2 interupts for an entire dungeon.
My IO is currently 2.1k which is modest (not high tier) but even I find myself getting rejected for +4/5/6 despite being arguably one of the M+ Meta specs and having a fairly decent rating when half the time the leaders rejected me have a lower IO score than me.
The real issue is the communitys fixation on ILvl and M+ Rating. It’s created a toxic culture and it’s certainly not the WoW that I used to know where people had patience.
The flip side of this is that often people who are overqualified for keys are there for their own reasons.
You may be thinking “emagerd, pull bigger noob tank this is a yawnfest and I just signed up cos I want to pump!” and the tank will be “I’m new to this wow its stressful”.
They may also just be thinking “I struggle to get into keys at the appropriate gear level so I don’t want to deny a person who will benefit rather than making my life easier by inviting overqualified applicants”
People have different points of view. You may think overgearing a key with too much score puts you in the number 1 spot and anybody declining isn’t thinking straight, they have different priorities and objectives.
Let me put a different perspective into that…
I been pushing keys since the season began. Im not the best in the world… I still trying some really hard 10s…
But the point is that I got that 2.4k IO you are talking about.
Well turns out that I got like… 200 crests Gilded crests and absolutely ZERO valorstones to use them with. Additionally, I got 2 items that still need Runed crests which I don’t have, because all I do are 9s and 10s.
So I have two options. Either I go do some Delves which I find the most boring thing on the planet… OR… I go do some 4+, 5+ and 6+.
And that is what I did. And I found in my party that 4/5 people (everyone BUT the keyholder) were 2400 IO + people. Some were in the 2700 range of IO.
So IMO the thing is not that people “demand” those rios. Its that they got the option to take those rios because they are quewing to those keys.
Followers in M0 and m+ scale their gear based on your gear level, so LFG isn’t needed.
no not lazy. IMO its the lack of good tanks and healers is the issue and dps used to just taking things to the face. For context…3 times iv tryed running +2 stonevault…3 times key has fallen to bits at boss 2 due to tank not moving to correct part and the dps just follwing the tank (same as healer) even with me pinging the safe spot…tanks do not understand merchanics now because they are used to “oh ill just smack things a few times while watching p**n on my other screen” and healers are quiting due to things hitting like a truck. Dps are idiots and cant move out of s*!t because they want that extra cast or just cba pressing wasd. How to fix this? Bliz needs to bring prooving grounds back but for m+. You cant have a key with out correctly doing some of the new merchanics ie dodging things interupting things, or healing things. bliz can do this easy with the new AI bots they have. This will sort out the players who “can” do things or at least understand basic things. So to give you perspective…no not lazy just fed up of s*!t. even with players with higher rio scores, the players are just bad.
Been trying to time a +10 Stonevault with my friend whole weekend. While I didn’t do as many as he did, when I played, I did so with him.
Almost all +10s we found were keys owned by people who +2’d their first +8 or +1’d their first +9. All of them were in the 1900~2100 score range, and all of them had the same issues:
Even a group of all 2500 but the leader/key owner being 2100 ended up bricked because this player kept dying to mechanics costing us the 15s death timer. Getting the specific key ourselves takes a lot of time as well and we couldn’t get it until Sunday, which is also when we finally timed the key with a guild group.
The pug scene is hell on Azeroth.
Heroism & Bloodlust needs to go, or be distributed to every class.
Holy & Disc Priests need interrupt!! and finally; every bloody healer needs to be able to dispell every friggin DoT/debuff or we’re going to keep repeating this garbage.
It wouldn’t hurt if they reverted some/all tank nerfs, either, as healing has been a hit or miss this far.
Who the heck whined that healers should have the tanks life, and thus the entire groups, life in their hands?! God, it sucks tanking atm, and healing feels worse.
affix too annoying to deal whit soo ofc going take class make job less hard
