Just finish that quest in another run like others do. Nobody want to spent extra time in that boring place
30 second teleport out and back vs waiting for a whoe new run is not the same in my book.
If someone can’t wait an extra 30 sec in classic, then he should find another, modern game, like retail where racing is not optional but requested all time.
Maybe because there are literally no people queuing there at all? I have 362 hunter alt but around 30% of gear are PvP 377 fillers, so I want couple of rings for JP and BP first. Yet I couldn’t find base heroic group in 2,5 hours.
it’s possible if u Q’d between 3am and 5:30am, or else your Q was bugged. i queue daily regular heroics on both sides, dps alliance averages like 8 minutes, horde like 12
If you join a lvl 80 dungeon wearing lvl 68 leather gear as a warrior “tank” and get mad at the healer for being unable to keep you alive when you pull 2-3 packs at once.
You are the problem.
The only viable solution here is to just make the dungeons easier. You need to do a certain amount of DPS and do the mechanics properly and if you can’t meet that bare minimum requirement and keep wiping because of it then it’s frustrating for everyone involved. Nobody wants obnoxious difficult dungeons anyways, people who want challenging content and are well geared do the latest raids on heroic. The people who actually need the gear from the protocols often can’t meet the harsh DPS and skill checks with the gear and knowledge they have. It’s such a weird mismatch in game design. Best thing you can do is to just queue up for the 3 new CoT dungeons every day. They are incredibly easy, don’t have the awful protocol mechanics, and drop the new fragments, 378 gear and tier tokens. If you have the gold, get the 377 crafted PvP gear to start off with, they give a large amount of stam and main stat and will boost your DPS more than using 346 gear.
Gehennas players are the highest performing players in cata classic if you look at warcraftlogs.
The one warcraft logs are not the ones you see in LFG. You find only the monkeys in LFG from memehennas.
I want to thank the original poster for writing this.
The vote kick is absolutely and undeniably being abused.
I was in a group with this random mage in the lost city of tol’vir, who was clearly new to the dungeon, was not performing like the others and didn’t know the skips.
I was taking time to explain to him what needed to be done, when a vote kick was initiated to remove him. I declined and didn’t pass. The vote kick came a second time, when we were making good progress and it passed.
NGL, I don’t know what got me, but I literally lost it. I spoke to the kickers. Two guys from the same server that said he needed to perform better.
I told the guy, this is a random dungeon. If you want performance go make a full premade.
I refused to continue the dungeon and told them to kick me as well, which they did.
Some of the most toxic experiences that come with RFD and it’s biggest downside. And there is currently no recourse to such situations.
In general, I think this is probably why new players have such a hard time playing this game. There is this floating expectation that you need to know everything about the game or deinstall.
WoW is not a simple game for new players.
Best way to handle this from your side I believe is report the player, he called you names in chat or whatever, sweared in chat to you, report worthy. And also his assumptions are wild if you did 25k dps and he was thinking you did not. But yeah such people are probably the worst what can happen to community, utterly toxic, showing their elitism in it’s pure and + ninjaing item which they Already HAVE
Especially classic it seems, funnily enough. On retail you have at least delves to get decent enough gear to skip rdf entirely, then you go to m+, where sure might be some toxicity and such, but at least you don’t get extra in-game punishment for being kicked out or not finishing the run. But at least there are some avenues for new players to try out on retail.
Imo RDF ruined current community of cata-classic which once was wrath classic. It feels that cata classic RDF breeds the most toxic people in this community, because of sheer power players have over others, especially if there are couple people from same guild/server. And adding HC++ protocols to RDF was probably a mistake, you can say you still have premade groups, but since everyone flocks to RDF you probably will have a “fun” time spending maybe hours to find group in premade, unless you got guild.
Another option for new players especially if they got welcome in a guild, try to run previous raids instead of doing infernos/twilights and skip r
But there are might be bright news as well, not all classic is that toxic, anniversary or era might be much more chill, at least while leveling and also there are some guilds you can find matching your play.
…
i think it was 3 days ago, we do the classic clown water skip without having someone to water walk buff us, on top of people failing to jump, the whole “skip” toke no less than 1 minute. we kill the croc, then the tank pulls the trash packs that we skipped, i ask word for word “why did we “skip” in the first place”, silence, literal monkeys, they just repeat stuff they saw without understanding why
rdf is not a wow exclusive thing, but this much level of elitisim (and being a literal monkey who just does what the guides/streamers say) is indeed a wow exclusive thing, i played FFXIV for two months, the only time i saw a kick was when people got dc, i you not
and when i say i played it for two months, i mean 10+ hours per day, i had my fair share
Speaking of FF14, they probably have rewards you can give to some outstanding player in the instance, and the rules of that rdf tool probably more oriented for social play, but I am not sure.
And yeah it feels so true about people acting like monkeys here in dungeons and having so much elitism.
RDF should never be about the most efficient way to clear high end difficult content in the first place, it is literally to just find any dungeon group fast. But people think, that they are fully entitled to get fully geared 400+ ilvl randoms in every single run to boost them in less than 5 minutes through a dungeon. And yeah that was also teached by streamers/other game influencers that you need to speedrun hecc out of the game to get to the top, max geared etc.
People lost that idea of playing the game for fun and enjoying every moment they spend in this wonderful world of azeroth. Even if you speedrun your way to hc raid, at the end of the day you will just have it on farm, where nothing much interesting happens anymore. That’s why people leave weeks after new patch hit, because they cleared everything new patch provided and now wait for more, while they could just enjoy it on their own pace without rush and “savor” it for longer time.
What I think, if you have that “elitist” and “speedrun go go go” mentality, and think that your precious time getting wasted because you spent 3 more minutes in blackrock caverns due to some slightly subpar dps player, then maybe think again, why you play this game in the first place, why you want spend your time here if you don’t have fun doing most of the game activites and just want to rush to the end.
Got kicked this morning on my tank alt for not moving the boss away from blobs. DPS DK was the one complaining in party chat, after using army on pull (which is why I couldn’t move the boss in the first place). Don’t know if group was trolling or just clueless. Shame I’m the one that had to suffer the consequences of their stupidity, though.
I’m experienced enough to say with confidence that the issue wasn’t a tanking one.
Even though I was playing my low geared prot warrior (360-ish ilvl) I was 2nd on damage done on that boss (Foe Reaper in Deadmines). Highest DPS was DK at roughly 18k, me at 14k, ret pala at 12k and arms warr at 8k. Being a full melee cleave on that boss kinda sucks, but even with that in mind, the numbers just wasn’t there.
There’s not much you can do as a tank if the damage output is too low for the content, dps’ers are not switching to blobs, and they expect you to kite the boss when army is up. I guess that also shows why they couldn’t grasp the concept of army of the dead, general lack of game knowledge. I’m pretty certain the outcome wouldn’t have been any different even if I was playing my main tanking alt at 390-ish ilvl.
Edit: Oh, and the ret pala was in the robot, also. Not really understanding how to control it, from what I could tell.
From my experience so far, the real good players you meet sometimes in lfg are the most relaxed ones. As it is in most of modern society, it is the bad ones who are insecure and need to blame others to feel themselves better. So it makes perfect sense that the groups who are already bad try to blame the tank or healer for their mistakes.
yeah, that boss can be tough if the dps is bad^^
and there it is the devil’s advocate , you don’t understand how army of the dead works either? the ghouls will taunt the target until they die, you cannot move the target until they are all dead, the DK probably realized his own mistake and initiated the kick before he got the kick himself.
the next reply explains it, you have the flat 15% rdf damage buff, you have the dragonflight buff, and you pull 8k as arms warrior and 12k as retri, I’d take a 30k bet on who clicked yes and prayed to get a more geared tank to carry them through the finish line
