Give me my gold back

I bought chronoboon for 1g, the commerce channel is selling, I saw the lowered price for the new patch. I bought many for my characters and I was scammed, the blizzard does nothing for me. I am a casual player and I need the gold, my subscription ends soon if I don’t have gold back

“Give me my one gold back or I quit”

Alternatively you could take three minutes out of your day to sell a stack of cloth on the AH.

You didnt think “this might be to good to be true”?
You didnt think that there were no announcement from blizzard about the price going down or anything like that and just jumped on it and bought them

I am a casual player, I only go to the auction and buy the chronoboon, it is not my fault if I was scammed by another player,

Why there are never news from blizzard about scams possibilities to warning people…

Your gold is lost, hope you learned something… exploiting is bad for everyone

Hence my comment about thinking “this might be to good to be true” if they lowered the price then why not go and check it out yourself just to be sure, if people sell them on the AH for 1g each they must cost less so they make a profit and if you value your gold you cant be that lazy that you dont go and see if they are sold for less on the vendor that sells them…

Being casual and being reckless is not the same thing.

I am only buying an item at auction, I don’t have to know or do anything else, it is not my fault that another player abuses the system and scams others. I am the victim, not the blameworthy

You remind me of the type of people who fall for the 8TB external SSD for 20€ scam, its up to you as the consumer to look at a listing and realize that something is off.

And also if you buy stuff of the AH instead of going to the vendor that sells that item in unlimited supply you are already being scammed each time you do that, so you cant value the gold you have that much.

Someone who is not willing to be skeptical when something costs 1/10th of what it should cost is not a victim but a willing part of it all. You for sure knew that it looked like a good price otherwise you wouldnt have bought it right?

Casual players still keep up with patch updates and use their brains before falling for a too good to be true deal on AH. You’re not casual, you’re just clueless. Could’ve went up to Chromie in WPL to check if his price is still 10g for boons and you’d know what’s going on. Also if you’ve been buying Chronoboons exclusively from AH before this fiasco it already means you’ve been getting scammed for God knows how much gold and time.

Wait… they scammed you by not giving you the boons, or the fact that they will be useless now ?

In any case, it was clear as day that this would be changed. You scammed yourself m8. Blizzard (while trash) cant really save dumb players from themselves.

Yeah i also fell for this. Being one of those players who never played sod. I just saw on discord that chronoboom is cheap on AH. Went in, bought like 50 to have for the future. Bragged in gchat just to find out that the one who posted on discord didn’t mean it as “go buy like crazy”

If only WoW classic wasn’t so hard and complex and therefore absolutely requiring the complete collection of WorldBuffs for clear MC or Ony, players would not have been fooled by these Chronoboons scams :dracthyr_cry_animated:

Sometimes - just sometimes - you have to think yourself. Don’t blame Blizzard for having lower IQ than your gearscore.

yeah, add insult to injury, that will help.

not quite, I know of a few people that made bank (1k+ - 6k gold) out of this little “whoopsie”, and that gold has already been used and spent on services and items, so if Blizzard even thinks about reverting/erasing that gold, it’s going to be tough

They keep saying “exploit early, exploit often” and in a way they’re right, they won’t suffer any repercussions and they’re swimming in gold they made in 10-20 mins

This is so disheartening to read but totally true.
100% all those that made 1000s gold will have zero repercussions. A lot of good honest players will be put extremely off by it but nobody cares anyway :man_shrugging:

If it makes you feel silly and prevents you repeating the mistake, yes. Yes it will help.
