I just don’t understand why it’s such a big deal to allow players to play in their favorite era. Why not just give us a few servers like there are now for Vanilla? I’m sure for 100% that there will be good online and I belive WOTLK is still in demand.

In my dreams we have them already, along with TBC servers but in reality I suspect it will never happen, save the the fleeting “playing on borrowed time” version we get on Anniversary Servers.
If they gave me a magic wand and I could just wave it and get whatever I wish I’d have permanent TBC-era servers with an option to clone your existing Classic Era characters over.
I’d also have permanent Wrath-era servers with the option to clone your existing Classic or TBC-era characters over.
This would literally give a ‘best of all worlds’ solution. We could continue to progress through MC/BLW… and beyond in Classic on Mondays, then progress through Khara, SSC and beyond in TBC on Wednesday, then switch to Naxx, Ulduar and beyond on Friday…
Well you get the idea…
I doubt it will ever happen though.

I’d love for them to go through all expansions again. I play classic re-release in 2019(i think) but went back to retail at like level 50 odd. I missed BC then jumped back at the end of WotLK. Barely touched cata and cba catching my toon up for MoP plus enjoying anniversary too much but my point being i would like to go through them all with one char.
Im currently done with retail at the mo, some mega toxic people there, the nightmare of getting into mythic+ or raids and delves are just boring lol

That is what will most likely happen with the anniversary servers. It will just be another wave of progression realms, maybe with some tweaks this time around (like dual spec from the start, and maybe something else down the line. Fingers crossed for a race change with the TBC pre-patch). Well, they may also drop a couple of era servers along the way for those who’d want it.

They’ll die in Cata. Classic Cata already a wasteland. And it’s bigger project, compared to Anniversary.
I think people there just waiting for the pandaria.
Why wait? Vanilla have always been my favorite, but the aniversary servers now feels less than vanilla than the old insta level 60 private servers, everyone is running around with full r14 gear. Playing now almost feel as irrelevant as playing retail, just go to tbc or wotlk already…
I want to properly progress in AQ and Naxx. Give me 6 months for each and then you can have your TBC.

I am not.
I am enjoying Fresh as it is, still gearing up in BWL and looking forward to the release of AQ soon. TBC is still 9 months ahead so there is plenty of things to do, but also alot of time to do it.
And this hurts people like you hard after rushing and rushing … take a chill pill and enjoy the game instead. Let the tryhards do the rushing. They will regret it as soon they run out of content while the rest of us still have fun.
And WotLK? We don’t even know if TBC will progress into WotLK - that is pure speculation. I would’nt hold my breath if I were you.
