They didn’t.
They gave Void Elves to the Alliance.
And High Elves (sort of).

Technically, they gave High Elves to the Horde, which was a mistake. But at the same time it rescued the Horde, which is now the pretty Elf faction.
Isn’t this a bit hypocritical, from one furry race to another?

In my head-canon it means ultra-pendantic-nit-picking…
The Drums of War will return one day. Probably after the World soul saga. When there has been peace for 10 years lorewise. Return to the roots of WARcraft. Ofcourse they keep the Cross faction as it solves the Pvp Queue.
