Okay, so we’ve all had our fair share of “fun” playing healers in Solo Shuffle, but how about we brainstorm some actual solutions? Because while I’m super thankful for the extra Conquest box, I think we can all agree that it’s like getting a band-aid for a broken leg.
1. MMR/Ratings Overhaul for Healers:
How about this: if healers go 3-3, we shouldn’t lose MMR. Let’s face it, the chances of healers single-handedly carrying a match 6-0 is like winning the lottery while getting struck by lightning. It’s already tough enough being the focus of everyone’s blame; we shouldn’t be punished for breaking even.
2. Balanced Healing Classes, Anyone?
It would be great if we could actually choose a healer without needing to check the flavor-of-the-month meta first. Maybe Blizzard could focus on making healers feel more balanced—like, you know, letting other healers have a seat at the Discipline Priest and Evoker VIP table. I’m not asking for a revolution here, just for Mistweaver Monk and Holy Priest to feel like they’re not constantly getting sent to the Shadowlands.
3. Encouragement, Not Flames:
How about some incentives for healers beyond just instant queues and an extra box of Conquest? Maybe give us exclusive rewards like healer-only cosmetics, mounts, or achievements. If players knew they’d get something more than just angry DPS in Solo Shuffle, maybe we’d feel more motivated to queue.
4. Leaver Penalty Adjustments:
Can we please adjust the leaver penalties? If a player leaves mid-game, it shouldn’t result in random rating swings for the rest of us. Make it so the remaining players don’t gain or lose rating when someone rage-quits. Or, you know, increase the penalties for leaving to make sure people think twice before bailing.
5. Feedback and Awareness:
Let’s also work on educating the masses. Maybe introduce a short tutorial for DPS players on healer positioning and defensive cooldowns? I know, I know—it’s wishful thinking. But if even one person learns that standing behind a pillar out of line of sight isn’t the best idea, we might actually see a difference.
