So I have noticed in Classic, there are a lot of players with names ending in ‘godx’.
They are all mildly mentally handicapped.
Did I miss a meme with this? Is it the same as ‘qt’ from 10 years ago?

I have no idea where did it came from but it might have something to do with godcomp in arena? Reroll an alt with the same name and add godx in the end?
Or it might be the complete lack of creativity in creating new toon names and they resort to the old one and add godx, qt, lol and the rest.
I had a pvp char called “Sylqt” for when I was doing arenas many years ago.
Now I cringe.
I remember coming across someone named ‘Exeqt’ (a warrior) but I thought that was a really great name.

Its from a famous shaman player from Arena Tournament - and now on retail arena called Drainerxgodx

I remember back when people started to add a “lol” to their name and after that it was “xd” and then “qt” and so on… probably just an ongoing trend which will never end…
I assumed it was from “Dosia x GOD”
Kind of sounds like something people on Runescape would have named their pures back in 2006-2007

It was the “PVP name” in MoP and WoD, might’ve started before that but godx type names definitely peaked in those 2 xpacs. Dunno why ppl still call themselves that tho.
Drainer played on arena tournament around 2010-2011 so assuming some1 can find an earlier refference IN WOW then yeah… no its not a runescape or greekgodx thing.
And he is definitely more popular in arena/pvp community.
Its usually a trend started by top or known PvPers (lól was started by athene? i think).
People added x at the end of their names cause of rank 1 rogue/war brothers Runehx and Mysticalx (runehx played with at the time best rdru sonny if u recall tbc times).
