But they won’t do anything as the Bot account owners probs pay a hell of a lot more subs than us regular Joe’s with just 1 account. No gold buyers - no profits for botters, no bot re-subs, less profits for blizz, but I do agree with you, the buyers are the root.

i think Blue just dont have a means of tracking buyers. thats already sad but it is easy enough to spot and ban bots, which they also dont do…

The cost benefit analysis from a business pov makes it not worth it. Blizzard has had a policy of not banning gold buyers since vanilla. If you ban Timmy for buying gold he will quit the game and you lose a paying customer. If you ban the seller they will just make a new account and keep botting to sell more gold.
The saying has always been “always hit the seller, never the buyer”

Blizzard has been absolutely banning players that were caught buying gold since 2004. There has never been any internal policy whatsoever indicating otherwise.

This is BS, I know three people that were banned for 7 days for buying gold in late classic and early TBC. they were also stripped of items and mounts bought with said gold.
