You have unranked players who do nothing other than log in and steal from honest players like myself, Its beginning to get me down!
I need gold for raiding and other things in game and How am I supposed to do this when you let these unranked timmys steal everything from under my nose.

You know who these players are you have the metric data to show and track where this gold they make is going, and you do nothing with it ! Its a shame and I am getting to the point where I can’t get the gold needed for raiding.
You can understand why ppl buy the gold, They can’t farm it themselves because you allow these accounts to steal from everyone. Track these players gold transfers and ban them! Make it harder for them to do business in our game! Flame me as much as you like I don’t bot I don’t buy gold I play the game the way it was ment to be played and I should not have to make this post!!
Learn to farm instances. No competition there.
I farm Dire Maul North with my hunter alt.
Some of my friends are farming Dire Maul East.
One friend tanks dungeons for orbs, runes and other goodies.
One friend boosts low levels for gold.
I know rogue who made ungodly amounts of gold by pickpocketing mobs in BRD and killing elementals.
Get creative. It’s not the end of the world.
While I understand herbing is not the only way to make gold, Its kind of not the point! Why should I have to change my gameplay to get around a problem plaguing the game since its release?
Same thing as me saying while you could get run over while outside by a car, All good just never go outside.
My alt is unranked, and is farming the gold for my main. What does rank have to do with anything?
Bots are not going anywhere, it’s reality, Blizzard just does not care.
Few days ago I wanted to buy DMT buffs. I found advertisement: summon + buffs for 17g. I got invited and summoned and paid 17g. Then I fascinated that I was actually summoned to a location inside Dire Maul North, just above the gates. It is not possible to get there in a honest way, it is obvious that those were bots arrived to that place via flyhacks.
One would have thought that flyhacks are very easy to detect at server side. They don’t even hide, they openly advertise!
But here we are. You won’t find this situation in any respectable private server, their tech actually bans flyhacks instantly and their staff actually bans bots very fast. And they have it harder, because they don’t charge fee to login. At this point Blizzard security is worse than private servers security.
So the choice is not between you changing your gold making preferences and Blizzard banning bots. The choice is between you adapting to the situation or dropping the game. I don’t think that the situation is so dire, it is possible to play the game without touching RMT. Although it is harder by the day. The reason I’m farming gold with my hunter is very similar to you, I have mining and I’ve found that it’s impossible for me to make a reasonable amount of gold with mining. I blamed layers, though, but in the end it matters not.
