I just got 60 on ERA, what are some gold making methods that are currently viable? the methods I used in 2019 phase1 seem not viable/worth doing.
It’s actually more difficult to make gold on Era than it is on Wrath.
I don’t think many people will tell you their secrets as there are only effectively 3 realms now.
If you have maxed out professions try selling those.
maraudon farming should still be good.
hook yourself up the SM ruin machine and kill the bosses, vendor the loot. it always has been and always will be very lucrative raw gold farm. if you get a bit stronger and have a bit of patience you can do a similar farm in DME jump runs
you should farm maraudon anyway to get pre bis spell crit 1h sword from tinkerer

Large brill shards, is decent value still. Dont need any skill either just have to pickup the prof.
Well as I say that I just picked up a ton for 4g ea lol. (Before 14g++ was what ive been used to paying for it).
Otherwise raw gold farms are pretty good now. Elites in particular, though I dont think locks are very suitable for areas like Tyrs unless you go very slow (cant really fear there). But winterspring giants should work fine, those drop good silver and their ekos go for like 3-4g.
The best ofc is likely mage farms in dungeons, pop size wont affect that much.
Other stuff;
chimaerok tenderloins 15-30g ea (isle of dread, can range kite them as a dot class if you go for the caster mobs, otherwise will need to be very geared to solo; mostly a duo spot).
Fused wiring, gnomer / a couple world mobs doable pre 60.
Dark runes, scholo farm group or geared solo.
Volatile rum ~1g ea (for goblin rocket fuel), buy in DM*limited supply or farm of pirate mobs.
Blue pearls (for flash bombs; druids / finishing tournament winners).
Magic dust (anyone with a mount, can be quite contested)
The elemental market fire/air/earth/water is all crashed 40-70s ea. Those should recover in time (just depends how long it will take). But the stones still sell well (solid/dense stone; sappers/nades) preferably have mining on you also if you go for those.
Then you have alot of more simple farms like just kill bats/ slugs in epl. Its not amazing but good honest average gold still.
I personally don’t gain much because I like leveling, but to start it’s an excellent way to sell the loot you don’t need and have a good demand on the AH to establish yourself financially. Next, you’ll need to level up professions (Crafting/Gathering) with good demand and work on them to secure yourself financially.
I know and heard that some below 60 players have gained more than 100 gold and even up to 1000 gold by basically getting involved in the trade, so it should tell you everything about how market and gold earning works in-game. An understanding of players’ demands, necessities, and supply would mean an understanding of the market, which leads to knowledge about how you could profit from it.
