Graphics issues classic wow fresh servers november 20th anniversary

ey guys i have a Nvidia Geforce RTX 4070 ti super graphics card with a AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3d 8-core processor.,

my monitor is a Samsung Odyssey G7 series

my refresh rate and every other settings on my pc aswell as in game are setup propperly as they should be., now i started playing classic wow and everynow and then i see like what i think is flickering/tearing on scenery/roads/tree’s etc etc when i walk., i tried all possible solutions i could find from turning v-sync on/off anti-alliasing on/off G-sync on/of capping fps to 144 as thats my refresh rate., tried different response time on monitor but nothing what i do seem to fix it,. and i find it hard to believe its my pc having hardware issues since i got this pc just a month ago and it was not cheap system neither., everything is updated to like drivers bios windows updates etc etc., so now my question is is this just a wow problem atm? cause ive been searching on the internet for hours and did every possible solution i could find! but nothing seem to fix it!:frowning:

(sorry for my terrible typing and bad english)

I have had this over the years, I investigated it all from changing thermal paste, going back to drivers from ages ago, trying different cards, monitors etc etc - nothing worked and it appears to be an Nvidia clash with Blizzard, it disappears sometimes with patches and when a new driver comes out, was terrible for tbc, now seems ok but it comes and goes. the most important thing is it isn’t a hardware issue.

Its your PC and/or your settings ( in general ).

Did you build the PC, or you bought it full from a retail?

Download HWMonitor or any other check temps soft, run WoW and watch the temps, specifically the Graphic Card and CPU …

nah its not my pc first of all this was a 3k euro pc build by proffesionals where i got it from second of all this is only with world of warcraft every other game and what not is fine and all my settings are how they need to be., but its deffo not my pc no f way its brand new aswell and everything is updated all the setting refreshrate etc etc is all how it should be aswell., and not only that its not only me having these issues., also temps of my cpu and gpu never go higher than 60-65 max i have a build in display that shows me and i checked with HWmonitor they are accurate., also and again all my settings are how they should be and this is only happening with classic wow sometimes the issues are gone sometimes its back its deffo the game and not my pc if it was my pc i would have the issues in every other game aswell and in retail the issues arent there

Stopped reading right there.

So you have no idea what you have under your PC and how components work, but you flex the price tag you paid.

No, not necessary.

But if you paid attention to what I wrote :

So it might be software settings, such as Nvidia or even in-game settings.

But I will stop giving advices now. Seems your 3k euro pc build by professionals works flawless …

Yes, this is a WoW problem and not just you … I have had this time and again. Every 20th frame or so is dark, or some of it is. It comes and goes with patches and updates. as Atarist says it

Classic won’t use all of your resources, not how it was coded - WoW in general is not a CPU or GPU hungry game

still weird how there is also people with zero issues thats why i was wondering if it was the game or not cause i do see people saying that have no issues whatsoever

I use a MAC M1, its more than enough for retail WoW let alone classic - I would suspect you either have a memory issue - which is common - poor bios setup can make your memory run slow - or you have some bloatware running in background causing issues

i checked all that and the memory and everything in my sysste is brand new but i bought my pc away for a full checkup even if its jus ta month old everything is how it should be and set up how it should be and also i only have it in wow but yea i see some people have it also and some dont so i guess its prolly the game or nvidia il just wait for a new gpu driver
